NOW WHAT ?!

I've never seen this in source ever before...

Come on, my map is not that huge, nor does it have a so many entities(I believe this is related to some kind of entity error, but I don't know exactly what).

I feel I'm going

What's this error about ?

I don't get that error. It's not that problem :). Vrad just... freezes(I said crash but it doesn't show up any error, it's just the freezing and doesn't do anything).

Come on this is ridiculous. I was expecting it to fail at big maps compiling(when it doesn't fail, all the compile takes no more than 10 minutes on the upcoming gm_abandonedfield).

But I made a test map for something( it's basically a room).

Guess what? Vrad crashed(task manager showed me 00 CPU activity, and hammer just froze).

What can I do to avoid this? What's causing vrad to do this?

I still hate these things. I don't consider them anything else but pure gadgets.

Some may say it's the true way to play games, if you consider yourself a gamer.
No. It's the true way of earning money, it's not good for us, it's good for gaming companies. There's virtually no piracy at all on consoles.
But think of that: you can make your own "play-station" from a computer. Besides, with a computer things are much more flexible.
PS3 = Graphics, long exclusive games.
Quote from Wikipedia:
The PlayStation 3 was first released in Japan on November 11, 2006
Seriously, PlayStation3 and ShitBox just stop the evolution progress of the games. They just set a standard that last for too long, and gaming companies are forced to lower the grade of realism in their games. Of course, I only talk about the graphics evolution here.
Still, I believe buying these consoles is a waste of money. And electricity

I'm still getting the white 3D skybox! And I have no leaks, and I placed a light_enviromment(which seems to have a "minimum" lighting no matter how low I set the intensity, and that ruins my ambience, so I'll delete it).

You actually have to do it reversed. Light comes from the top and fades to the bottom( so you inverse the textures, black in additive means transparent)

Switch to Source 2007 in the SDK, it's stable. Some of (or all of) the Source 2009 games are still buggy from Valve's awesome updating skills.
Was compiling with Source 2006 :D.

I will try and see if it works, and if it does, try making the sensor with a filter_activator_class.
[EDIT] Just when I began to be happy :|. Now it didn't crash immediately, it worked, and at some point of time vrad.exe crashed(00 at cpu). This begins to get on my nerves, as the map is for source for fucking sake, not goldsource to have this stupid problems. It's even optimized(func_details and such..).
[EDIT2] Recompiled and went outside. Came back... it worked(odd... after all these tries...). But why is my skybox models white? :\

How do I build in source a "presence" sensor?

What I need is something like this: whenever in the entity volume(was thinking about trigger_multiple, but it triggers not "senses") there is buggy, a light turns on.

[EDIT] Also, why does vvis crashes? :(. There is no sort of sign of the crash, I just open task manager and I see vvis with 0 CPU.

[EDIT2] I set vis to fast vis and it compiles, but now vrad halts!
I'm sick of this. I had this problem too at gm_buildmania and gm_beachplay. It was a "chance to get a compile" case. I don't know what to do, really pisses me off.

Perhaps you should change the requirement to maps with an average rating of 4 or more in the TWHL vault?
Or 3 ? :)
Nah, you're right. But from my point of view, he's done a good thing for me at least. Gm_BeachPlay is kind of crap, I know, but it was the best to offer for a review from me. He pointed out some strong points that will help me make my maps better. Isn't that good? Aren't we trying to focus on making the novice mappers better? Motivate them for the best?
I'd even be willing to let the videos be embedded somewhere on the site if they aren't full of advertisements.

Trapt's internet personality reminds you of Stephen Hawking? If anything, that's a compliment, he's one of the most brilliant people alive
My "subtle" suggestion was that even intelligent people have negative sides. Well, Trapt is a little too nervous and irritated as if Huntey touched his privacy or something.

Also yes, it's obvious that I support Huntey. I'm not a wealthy guy, so my cake for him will be supporting him.

However, coupling it with 'YOU MUST POST 25 TIMES ON MY AWESOME FORUM!111!' is just downright bullshit promotion of your site which you have already pimped far too many times on this site.
It's a "scratch our back and we'll scratch yours" situation. They don't do it for free, but the fact that you only need to have 25 posts on their forum is a very low cost for a mapper's delight.
You only need a walk in the park. Huntey already said:
If you're not interested - just don't post, because I'm not interested in your opinion either. The thread isn't harming you in any way.
Also,
but hey I can't expect everyone to be as intelligent as someone as brilliant as myself.

I remembered watching it on TV in some night(watched it real late, at about 2 am the film finished), so I wanted to watch it again.

In one word, sick. This film is fucking sick, a lot more disturbing than a horror could be. I found it real hard to watch it, even though there's nothing really scary about it, but it fucks your mind. Those psychopaths come from another world. There's also an interesting scene where one of the guys gets shot, and the other turns back the time with a remote control (?!?!?!). Then, on the boat, they talk strange things that kind of show their psychopath intelligence.
Of course, at a deep level the film makes me think about strange things.
I do believe though that the remote control scene is just cheating, and it really brakes the rules of "the game". The music is sick also, the ending too.
Bah! I deleted it. Yes, in a way it's a masterpiece, but an evil one.

[EDIT] Today I saw The Road. It pulled every single tear out of my eye... Just makes me think about how mad and evil are some people, and how much love there is in others, and how much we take the life for granted...
The child is a beautiful representation of the good, that fights for life for the human race to go on.

I didn't see this film right now, but I watched it a couple of years ago and I remember it, I was just browsing the internet after something and saw this.

I must recommend you,

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

It's a very impressive film set in the medieval age about an orphan boy that develops an unusual sense of smell. He will begin to love "storing" smells, so he'll eventually learn about perfumery. But he's not satisfied. He will eventually kill women to store the perfume from them.
An interesting fact is that after each "master" he leaves, that master dies.

CCR - Lookin' out my back door
Hah, wouldn't expect a member from this site to listen to these kinds of songs. Especially from Luke, not. But hey, I listened to it and it's actually not bad!

In the mean time(I'm into music discovery these days):

Yeah Yeah Yeahs- Maps

I discovered this band recently. It has some cool tracks, like the one from above, "Y control" and "Heads Will Roll".
Apparently, the lyrics form "maps" have no sense. After some search I found out they do after all...
They have some strange sounds which makes me feel... somewhat strange. It's a feeling I've never experienced before, and I couldn't explain it anyway. Btw, the drummer suffers from some kind of disease, he sees colors when listens to music.

I played krieger too and I have to say, it's impressive from the point of view of the textures and custom sounds. But everything else takes space: that's DX.
Which makes me think why other games have to be ridiculously big like a couple of gb.

When you get to that stage, you should think of a career in something other than teaching
Don't get me wrong, but at a point in time I actually thought about being a teacher, I'd love to teach. It's a beautiful activity.
Expressing my thoughts about that man doesn't mean I'm like him :). I too believe that he should be in jail by now, it's totally unacceptable what he did, but what I'm saying is that it's not 100% his fault.

I do not like the way you judge these things. Pretty disturbing yes, but the teacher must have had enough. It's just an exaggerated case of what regularly happens with teachers that get pushed to the limit.
In my school, a classroom colleague of mine did this to a teacher, and was really getting annoying until the teacher came to him and pulled him by his hair with such force that the hair just snapped out of his head.
There were pretty intense discussions, but it was mostly my colleague fault.

So don't get angry for me, I'm not sustaining this teacher, but cases like this when arrived on mass-media are just bloated with bullshit(the "die, die, die" thing... I just believe the kid was such a nuisance that the teacher got over-enraged).

I like the new steam a lot more than the old one. Really improves the interface and looks how a 2010 interface should look.
I haven't even tried to start the Source SDK yet, are there modifications there too?

Strider, where do you get custom skins from?

Understood.

For C++, I use DevCpp at the moment. It works perfect with the allegro library.

And there is not really any point in creating a website that uses two different types of code. You're only making things complicated for yourself.
Let's not forget that not Penguinboy makes the community, he helps it to exist.
What I was trying to say though, is not really integrate PHPBB3( ok I said that in the most direct mode possibly, but it was just a "stupid suggestion"), but have some features borrowed from it. Example, to be able to post videos. Yes, it's a basic feature that every forum has nowadays.

Well that's a pretty stupid suggesting, considering we already have a working, custom-coded forum solution. phpBB is crap, anyway. Produces horrible, messy code that's a lot larger than it needs to be.
Hmm... I think you're right. It's the most unpopular platform anyway...
