Don't even get started on image sizes. I made a valid post once when you were complaining about sizes and you completely bypassed it.

I've come to notice you backing out of discussions when you simply cannot support your claims, but are then happy enough to jump right back in and resume your superiority when you do find something you can easily complain about.
I cannot and am unwilling to worry about what might upset you.

Go bow out, please. I'm not seeking any kind of personal victory here, i know TWHL is in a terrible state at the moment, and your removal would certainly help with it's repair. Perhaps it's best left for TWHL3, but i'd like to think the mess that is TWHL right now can be cleaned up.

I'm working with Spirit, and i want to know if it's possible to make env_shooters follow the player. I've tried setting 'move with' to '*player', and have also tried using a trigger_motion to do the same, neither work.

Does anyone have an idea how to acheive this, or if it is even possible with Spirit?

That's going to be harder than you think Unless you're planning on a lot of backtracking... (Sandscroll is made up of two maps with puzzles, and takes 5-7 minutes to complete)
There will be some slowish moments at the beginning, and hopefully a few mini cutscenes in there aswell. Let's say 8-12 minutes. ;D

Me too, probably.

I have done a lot (ok a bit.. ok a small amount) of planning for my maps, i've pretty much got the mission structure and locations chosen. At this moment, here's what i have planned:

GAMEPLAY:
Stealth and action. Probably more stealth.

CUSTOM STUFF:
Almost entirely custom textures, new music, new sprites.

WEAPONS:
Probably only two or three, and they will be realistic ones.

LOCATION:
A museum of Science, or something along those lines. Set over two different times (night and day).

LENGTH:
Two maps, going for about 10-15 minutes of gameplay.

The biggest problem people seem to have about your image size argument Orpheus is that it is too harsh. 150kb is NOT worth complaining about. 300kb is BARELY worth complaining about. When you start reaching 400+ then yes, it becomes a problem.

I work as a sign writer, part of what comes with my job is idiotic people emailing me artwork that is WAY too large. I recently worked on a 1000x1000mm sign containing a 600dpi bitmap that was just under 400mb big, i shit you not.. and it was emailed to me. You quite obviously have way too low a tolerance for such things. This is the internet you know, part of using it is becoming adjusted to the crap that fills it.. within reason of course.

Besides who needs all these MP3/MP4 players, I prefer my old MP3 Diskman, No need to browes for hours through a long list of songs, only open a bag and choose the disk I like.
Poor reasoning. It's easier to carry and search through a bag of CD's and swap them over every time you wish to change, then click a few buttons on something no bigger then your hand? Ok.

I'd always planned to design my part myself seeing as both the oxygen and hydrogen tanks (my part) could easily be located slightly away from the teleporter connected by tubing and such. I'd really prefer it if i could make it myself a) because i have a good idea of what i think it should look like, and b) i want it to suit the design of my map.

Hmm yes, well i suppose it's all up to whoever is actually mapping the hub to keep that in mind. The hub is a really important part of this collaboration and it goes without saying that it should definately look the part, it is after all the part people will see most frequently.

Well those layouts could quite easily incorporate ramps or stairs in the hallway entrances/areas leading up to the main portal. It's only rough, remember, and it's more about deciding the location of the individual portals.

Personally, i think something along the lines of the last one would be good. So what do you think? What should we do with the hub and what sizes should we make our little portal rooms? Should they even be rooms at all?

I was about to edit my post to say i have a roadcone in my closet that i.. uhh.. 'legally obtained'. I use it to hold my hats.

Urban exploration would be great, i want to buy myself a nice quality camera and go snap some shots of Kal's more interesting areas.. (they're hard to find :P).
