in Needs moar bouncing light Post #236187
It doesn't bounce 100 times, that's an error. 10 seems to get me the light levels I want, thanks.

While I'm at it, can anyone explain what's going on here?

^That's not a cubemap error. Ingame, it looks like plane fighting, but that's the only brush there, and all the sides are nodrawed except for the one facing the player.

I need RAD to bounce light more times than the default 5 to brighten up my map a bit, but since there aren't any Source batch compilers out right now I need to use the command line. But I don't know the command.

Its the official fgd that was included in the TF2 gfc shortly after (or shortly before, I forget) the files were unlocked. It was subsequently deleted, but obivously a good few amount of people got their hands on it.

Yeah, Portal exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Though I'm running out of challenges, so get crackin' on those custom maps people! I've started one myself. Think Icy Tower, if you've ever played that game :)

Gabe said that you could play through other Half Life 2 maps, specifically mentioing Episode 2 maps, with Portal. You can probably simply use the console to change the level to the start and, yes, teleport through each level.

Did anyone else notice that someone in the Portal commentary refered to Portal as "this first game"?

in Snowfall Post #235989
It depends on what you're mapping for. If it's for CS, then there's already an env_snow entity. But if it for some other mod, I wouldn't use the conveyor method. Use 3D_Mike's snow sprite instead(the one used in de_survivor.

I was thinkng the same thing D:

By the way, not that it could happen anyway, but if it did then the result would be both floating sideways. Like a magnet suspended on a magnet, eventually the downward force of the cat and the upward force of the toast would balance out, and both would be floating sideways in the air.

Who cares how long these cheap prices last. If they go away, they go away. So if you want it, get it now.
You're paying more for Episode 2 than Episode 1, because Ep. 2 is [supposed to be] much, much longer than Ep. 1. Not to mention they had to make practically had to make a whole new game, since you're not in City 17 anymore.

Hurr. Look into studio bodies, Hotdog.
Besides, HL2 models have been ported and released time and time again. Hell, I even released a pack several months ago. Most of them actually are very low-poly, around 2000-3000 polygons. The crossbow is the only one that won't fit into a single studio body.

I still say cheddar and mozzarella both lose. Provolone and pepper jack make for auxsum subs... and auxsum anything, for that matter.

Edit: Gouda is also amazing.

Any chance of (lol) multiplayer!?
Check out Ragnarok Arena for that.
@Chicken: Keep this single player. No need for 2 MP mods that play exactly the same.
Edit: Odin Sphere, anyone?

Edit: A quick, dirty, and ass ugly comic shop-esque scene in some beach city. No traffic lights, bus stops, benches, or cars.

The game could do with a little higher camera. Its too low, put the center of the screen on his head, not the default(on his waist).

The default running speed is 270, if my memory serves me right. You can check by looking at the values for cl_forwardspeed and sv_maxspeed. Whichever number is lower is how fast Gordon will run.
