It does not trigger it when it crashes.

Sounds like you need to learn about basic clipping and vertex manipulation.

When you master or expreince them. You can make any shape you want. Trees, complex buildings, cars etc.

It may take some time to master them.

How do I get the apache to fire missiles? I had an angle in a map where apache always fired missiles at a location where you stand. But I can't find that map now.

Oh and Sajo - as far as I know, permitting programs (which can also be done under "Program Trust" in firewall configurations) just allows said thing to access the internet without being questioned by Norton - about accessing the internet. AutoProtect will still question it about hostility. (Besides, all my Steam things, including all four hl.exes and all three hl2.exes are already set to permit)
That's why you have to disable both :)
Disable Auto Protect, also disable Worm protection
After setting permit it may still ask it, don't know why... I guess after updating steam..

I've done various scans and looked over the internet, and cannot find anything. The trojan (if it's even a trojan, may just be an error) seems to be causing no damage at all to my system except not allowing me to play Steam games.

I use Norton Internet Security 2007. Does anybody have any idea what is wrong?
Disable Auto Protect, also disable Worm protection for like 5 or 24 hours through options/configurations. Also a warning window may appear (when you try to run steam) saying "steam.exe trying to access the internet. Do you want to allow it? etc. etc."
Press "Permit" and it should work fine. That's all I can remember about how to run it with norton installed.

I was trying to lock a momentary_rot_button with a master. Basicly, master needs to be activated for the momentary_rot_button to function.
I done this thousand of times, but mostly for func_buttons and doors. But the thing is, the same method does not work for momentary_rot_buttons.

So I tried locking the momentary_door which didn't work either. Then I tried locking them both. Didn't work...

Is there a way to lock a momentary_rot_button(or both) with a master?(I'm using op4.fgd btw.)

@Kinrah: Looking at that screenshot that needs a lot of work, I see there is a little puzzle in there . Nice :)

I dont know if that is a WIP screenshot but I'm going to point out some problems.
Architecture in that map looks really plain, add some complex computers with some data scrolling at their screen or machines with wires at the side of the walls perhaps? Also do something with that roof, add some pipes and vents maybe? Or some emergency lights.

Lighting seems boring. Add some light_spots with also sprites set to glow. That may make it more interesting.

No its not just a warning its also an error sort of. I had the same problem some weeks ago. You have to atleast delete some of those larger than expected texture to increase your compile effectiveness or something. Or else, your hbsp or your hvis would probably get stuck or crash. Even though it compiles, your map may crash at start.

I believe Source has that, I dont map for source so I'm not really certain.
But there isn't any "Go to Coordinates" option. I only know "Go to Brush Number" option which is located in map. Perhaps if you can tell me in which menu it is located?

Simply, how do we find the coordinates in a map. I used to know how to find it or probably found the previous error with a bit of luck. But it doesnt work anymore...

After I got this error:
Malformed face (20344) normal @

I tried to find it with coordinates but I dont think I was doing it right, because I couldnt find it. So how do we go to exact coordinates in VHE? I'm using 3.4 btw.

There's a MAX_MAP_FACES for a reason. If the engine could handle more faces, don't you think the compiler would let you?
No it cant, even though when it compiles the map crashes at start.
It works fine now anyway without the complex brushes...

So basicly, it needs coding in order to increase the max_map_faces limit, I guess. Oh well...

After fixing the larger than expected texture error. And the leak(Thx Kasperg and Hunter), finally the real error appeared in the compile log. Which was "Max_Map_Faces [limit exceeded etc]", I had too much complex brushes lying around also the map was a bit huge. But it needed to be huge since there was a func_train entity which was going around through out the map all the time which must be seen by the player. So I couldnt tie it to a another map with change_level. After deleting some complex brushes(brushes with most faces), it worked fine. But now it looks too plain...Is there a compiler or a tool which could increase the Max_map_faces limit?

Though, they might not find peace even the laws say so. There will always be bunch of rednecks who hate them. MOD Xen Assault -1 My first try at 2004, with 9 playable maps. Cancelled due to bad mapping. Waste of time...

MOD Xen Assault -2 My second try at 2005, worked on it for 2 months, 5 playable maps. And new re-skins, textures, etc. Cancelled due to not really bad mapping but I thought it wasnt perfect enough. What a waste of time, it was...again.

MOD Xen Assault -3 My third try at 2005 again. Probably been working on it for 2 years now. 23 working/playable maps so far. Also it encountered a hard disk failure or something, which screwed the pc. But I managed to save the hard disk...with some of the files at least. Remade the rest of the mod files which were lost. Not going to cancel this one...I hope.
