It dosnt matter weather or not Gman Is evil or not, Id still want him to die, because its impossible. in the game, gman COULD help you plenty of times. but he USES you. that pisses me off. also the fact thst you cant kill him makes it more ... wassa word... yknow, you want to kill him. :

Ok, as a fairly new member but longtime visitor, heres a few things I notice:

finally, In my opinion I dont think habboi has stolen any maps or models. maybe he used someone elses screens but who gives a flying fuck.

Ok, now Im going to submit ALL the maps in TWHL's map vault and resubmitt them to other sites as my own. what would happen to me? JACK SHIT. Id get flamed for a day, and after a week all the downloads would be gone and Id be banned from a site I dont care about. so really this thread is pointless.

anybody who didnt read my thread cause it was too long. your probably not reading this so... I slept with your mom(s). Im sorry this seemed like the best way to tell you. :P

ok so in a map Im making, theres a wall I want to be able to shoot through but not walk through. so I made it a func_illusionairy with a clip brush inside. but, I want to push a button and have the wall dissapear. at the moment I made it a sliding door that moves very fast. is there anyway of making a brush be two wntities at at once? or is there another way of making the wall player clip and still be able to shoot through it?

Ok, update, not a Comp then, but a community project. This isnt a maze thing. its to get from one place to another in the most interesting way possible. a plain maze would look boring I think. I mean you could set up a train, teleports, traps, puzzles etc. hey make a catapault if it works :P

anyway, how about eveyone submits their 'route' in as RMF, then the routes are stitched together so that there are multiple routes to the same destination. no size restrictions though. just as long as point A and point B arn't to far away in terms of, for example A being a mile directly aabove B. maybe a mile away from B but not above.

comments? Ideas?

cats are smarter, (and thats a proven fact) smell less, bury ther poop someplace inconspicuous, dont drool and are more interesting to have around the house. (in my opinion)

sure you can play fetch with a dog, but do you really want to? I cant be arsed, Id rather box with my cats

Theres no HL1 mapping competition on at the moment, so why not have a side one? The theme of this compotition is to get from point A to point B in the most interesting way possible! your map must be no more than 1536x1024x512

all normal rules apply, closing date on 20th of january.

Do you mean flat textured grass or tall shrubs and grass that sticks out?

grass that sticks out are sprites (http://www.twhl.co.za/tutorial.php?id=17)

but you could make a very thin box and texture it with a blue/grass texture. make two boxes at angles of each other so from above they would look like a + shape. more detail on things like that here>

yes. in source maps, there are textures which serve as measurements fro how big doors/railings/crates etc. I cant remember but I think doors a 54 or 56 wide, and 112 or 128 tall. try those, Ill be back with a definate answer soon.

what your describing sounds like your selecting a blank wall rather than an entity...

I know its simple, but try checking your selections, try right c;icking and select properties, or, if all else fails restart hammer
