I'll get a pic of my error ASAP.
EDIT: Tetsu0, I get that first error too, but only when I accidentally open it twice.
EDIT2:
User posted image
Only happens when I try to load a map, I've tried all kinds of mods.

Zelda or it didn't happen. :D

It's either valve makes the water and ragdolls more realistic, or they make their own VR console.

Before I posted the thread I used add and remove programs on every steam game, and steam too, I beleive. I deleted my steam directory and all the registry files I could find.

Thanks.
EDIT: took 2 tries, but it says it's processing the map! :)
EDIT2: Is it normal for it to just hand around processing, or am I supposed to have something else after that?

So, in my last ditch attempt to get on steam, I somehow unproperly uninstalled it. I used the steam uninstall, and the HL2 CD said it was still on. I deleted everything I could find with search that seemed like it was actually a part of steam, and I deleted all the stuff under steam in the registry. Still no dice. I just wanted to reinstall it so I could have half a chance of updating it.
Is there any way besides a reformat that could remove all traces of steam?

I have steam (JeffMOD) but I haven't been able to update so I've been offline for 1-200 something days. X(
I may try reinstalling steam again to see if that helps. I'll let you know if I get it working.

Man. Twister seems well made, but a good looking sphere in it takes a long time for HLBSP.
I am not using the high poly sphere in any maps, because VIS and RAD would likely take a million years. And even then, I'm func_walling it.

Nice tool though, thanks.

Try the patch method, then if that won't work, maybe someone else can figure it out.
You can always delete the map once the problem is fixed.

Well, I'm no coder.
You'll just have to use locus with an env_model. make it move with the player but point at the target.
This is a Spirit mod, right?

look at the env_model code? Maybe that will help you make a HUD model. Or maybe it's not possible without completely overhauling the HUD.
Why do you need it?

And you sneakily left the "almost" out of that quote.
Sush. ;)
Jeff, if that were the case why doesn't id Software sue the developers of every FPS in history for stealing their idea? This game really isn't that big of a deal, and honestly it's not that big of a ripoff. TF2's cartoony style is more the property of Pixar than Valve as far as I'm concerned
Yeah, I guess. Still, I don't think they have a right to charge for a TF2 ripoff like that. Time will tell if Valve thinks they should sue or not.

in models dont show ingame / water bad Post #269393
You should check to make sure all of the prop_statics are able to be prop_statics, some models only work as prop_physics or prop_dynamics, and the engine just removes them if the wrong entity is used.
I dunno about the water though.

@ jeffmod - Damn. Sorry to hear you deleted that map. Would've made a great combat map i'm sure.
It was shit anyway. I went on a purge a few weeks ago, and deleted most of my old maps and ones I've downloaded. I'm working on converting another apartment building I made for my 7-hour war mod, which failed miserably. If you're fine with sewers you can make it work without too much modification.
EDIT: I think I'll toss the old RMF's from my 'Black Mesa Janitor' mod too, but I won't retexture them.

I have an apartement building (small, of course) inspired by svencoop. No combat yet, because I did'nt know how to get grunts to spawn places at the time. Let me retexture it and send it your way! (I may just make it better, but that would take forever...)
EDIT: Shit, I deleted it... I'll try to find another map I can fix up.
