I said , do you have mixed ram ???

Because I had that problem too and everyone started to tell me "use memtest" and shit like that, but memtest never reported me any error. I just had to take out a ram module ... ( my computer behavior was really weird by then, I had to warm it up with a hair drier before starting it !)

Like IRC but speaking rather than typing?
Yes

TawnosPrime,

• Server Requirements •

The server CPU utilization under most conditions won't even register, so a fairly low level computer should be more then sufficient.

Bandwidth usage is determined by the codec and is dictated by the server. It could be as low as 600 bytes/sec or as high as 8000 bytes/sec per voice stream.

If you're going to use that computer only for ventrilo, 512 mb are very sufficient.

The truth is that vent servers can be configured for ... speed or quality, by codec. So, if you have a large bandwidth you should select the suitable codec.

Now go make it. It will work ;)

I'm interested, we have a ventrilo server for this website www.wasd.ro ( it's a gaming site in romanian.

Huntey : Read about ventrilo then you'll get the point. It's far easier than staying tens of minutes ( or maybe hours) to search after some ids to start a conference in skype.
And besides that, it's fun. Balls of steel ? There's a mute option.

I believe religion is meant to keep people from shooting each other. The real problem is that faith in god is being slowly degraded, and such, world war 3 approaches.

I do not say you have to be like that person, satch did the correct thing. But you need to have some spiritual education.

Is it possible to map for Hl1 using hammer 4.1 ?
I'm tired of finding good solutions for my ATI radeon HD 4850 ...
The dll replacement method works, I can select things in hammer, but it goes at a very low fps (below 10).

Have a nice video card ? Time to show what's that GPU capable of

You have to download FurMark HERE

All you have to do is INSTALL it and then RUN it with the default settings, but set the MSAA at 4(altough you can go without it).

If you've overclocked your video card, post the clock settings also !!!
Important note : This is a pure GPU benchmark application.

I'll start with mine(ATI RADEON HD4850)

exceptional win.
I smell subjectivism.
Well, it's a good tool, but I've been using imageshack for quite some time and I don't really see the point in it. It's a too simple application for me, it hasn't cool features .. things like this.

You could expand it : login within it to imageshack, upload images from it ... edit images from imageshack and reupload them ... lot of features.
I won't download it until I see a motivation :)

It's a bullshit average
I don't care for that too. I mean, I know to calculate the area of a room for example ... or the volume ... but if would need to calculate the volume for a sphere I'd had to search for the formula.(it's normal that I forget them . you would get headaches if you could see what the hell we're doing in school)

It's only enthusiasm and strong interest that makes me learn. And maths really doesn't make me enthusiastic at all.

Anyway, earth slowly dies because people like you.

[EDIT]
1 - Human CO2 production is very insignificant compared to natural CO2 production, coming from volcanic activity and weathering of rock
Yeah right ..
The actual problem is the forests cutting and lack of green space.
I know it's hard to believe anyone from here can help by turning off his lights, but add that to billions of people on earth . And I really think power plants produce electricty according to the consumption for efficiency.

in Bandwidth being drained. Post #264116
It may be your ISP. I say this because I moved to another one, the last one I had was stupid, slow upload\download(do I have to mention that 40 kb/s download is quite slow ?), the only positive aspect was the good ping.
But, when the messenger was on, the ping skyrocketed , and often I lost connection.
And certain problems could not be resolved without calling a stupid asshole who only asked me if "is the monitor on the bottom-right blinking or it's being crossed out with a red line?" , because I only had a cable coming in my house. The connections were made outside on a pole.

With my new ISP, I have the modem on my desk, so if I have serious problems ( really serious problems) I only restart it. If I have SUPER SERIOUS problems ( really rare) I just reset it. And it's a 6 mb/s connection :D
