im using nems batch compiler. simple and quik. the only bad thing is it uses a .map foile for compiling.
adn LOL you run xp on 48mb ram!!! get 98se on it again becasue xp lows way to much down

there fine. you cant change the transaprancy of a model textures in hammer. you should do that in a prog like wally ore hlmv.
but it might be your video card settings. make sure you got the latest drivers and try running in opengl ore d3d

its a model. you cant do that wiht a model your sure the texture is 8bit and got 255 0 0 as last color in palet???

then a model should automaticly show it transparant

not to mind you but everything in this universie is build out of blocks. even the smallest atom and if you want such a thing aplied in a computer game you would nned such a fast pc wich doesnt excist yet. and the face you would need over 20 million molecual's isnt really anice thing to thiunk about

and jahzel. your a idito thinking the earth is hollow. it would mean nothign would the the earth crust together. lets say there is a earthquake. then a crust of the eart could just float in space. and gravity is always casue by a central havey point. so there would be a center core in the earth. other ise i could fly around my house .

hmm. the grid os 4064 x4064. ore close to that. that is hughe.
. and when you dont see a grid anymore you shouldnt build outside the grid. you cange the grid size by pressing [ ore ]

hope it explains a bit but im not sure of your qestion

open a wad. pick the texture you want right-clik copy
go to oyur own wad.
right click on it and paste as new texutre. then give it a name and voila!!
you cna make a new wad my filenew and then select the wad file for hl. should be there

what a idiots. they have some source code. but i know what you cna archive. i saw a video of a ilegal version wich shows how you cna bind entintys and models together and make em move like a fair ride. cars flying around at a giant arm wich rotats and moves up and down and you can even go sit in the cars

if you want everythign on right scale you will need fswideview and about 3-5 monitors and 3 very powerfull video cards of all 256 mb and same type if possible. and 256mb. and then you would need about 1024mb ram to load. and then you will need a new prog wich will split up all the data wich is coming in your computer and split it over 3 vid cards wich will splitt it in a 5 views.
and of course a very powerfull processor.
