BF2 is a very good game...if you can get it to work.
It just has so many problems, I am not sure if it is worth buying really.

I have it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, since there is a very high chance you can't get it to work...for...no reason at all...it just won't work basicall, a lot of the time.

It is buggy beyond belief, and hard to believe it is doing aswell as it is.

if you live on the third storey of a house with the first storey two storeys underground and the fifth storey gets torn off in a tornado, what storey do you live on?
Ground floor?

I think it is a different thing Penguinboy.
Australia has made the fastest minigun or something.
This thing was just a box with wheels that fired a million rounds a minute. :)

It is obvious he puts a lot of effort into his maps, and it pays off because they look, and for the most part, play excellently.

Hmm, very nice site me thinks, although there is one little niggle I have, the 'Graveyard Designs' bit at the top, doesn't really fit in to me.

The rest of the site is kind of soft and professional, and then there is cartoony writing at the top, just kinda ruins the atmosphere.

Picture on the right is nice though. :)

I have done half-life once I think...
I have done Half-life2 once aswell.

I occasionally play half-life to get idea's for architecture, although to be honest, half-life's texturing and architecture sucked quite a bit in parts.

As DarkKilauea write use a invisible func_train follow path_corner as a the target for the camera.
That's what I was already doing. :)

And hmm...bugger...I thought I remembered some mod or something using the camera to roll, which inspired me to use it...

@Elon - Does that make my camera roll? Or what? I can't see how acceleration and decceleration will help my camera roll. :quizzical:

Yeh I guess, Half-Life 2 is quite fun, HLDM2 is good for laughs every now and again with the grav gun, and DoD:S never played.

Make sure your comp can handle it before buying though...
That is what it seems like you are asking, is it worth upgrading my comp. Becasue for 3 games and mapping capabilities for only 20usd as you say, is a great deal, so I can't see a reason not to take it unless..

True, all the detail you put into a map will be seen and gone in a couple of seconds, but without it, the map isn't anything special, you need the detail, because people do take it in as they go through an area, even if it is only for a second.

I prefer SP slightly, as you can have a story to it, and really immerse the player.
You have to guide the player, and try to guess what he/she will do at each area, so as to create the most effective atmosphere.

I agree with several people here on mp mapping, most maps never get played, and you can't make the map too big a file etc. And when you have made it, what can you really do with it? You can walk around it by yourself, you might get maybe your friend to play for 5 mins, but that is it.

WIth SP you can just play it by yourself, and have plenty of custom content, and SP maps are far more likely to be played by someone, since they don't need another 7 people to actually see how the map plays.

/opinion.

I mean a rotation on a different axis, Tlax, I just realised what you mean.

I want to basically do this:

Before Rotation.
_ _
^
__

After Rotation.
_____
<
____

--=Floor
_
|_| = Camera
< = Camera Direction

I know that's not very clear, but I can't think of any other way to show it.
