The only trouble is, as M_gargly pointed out, i don't have a bloody clue what the rest of the team, despite Daubeh, are doing with it.
Vista has indeed disabled my ability to map at the moment, but i am making up for it with texturing and writing music for it in the meantime.
The rest of you need to make a decision now.
Are you willing to see this mod to the end? (it's so close now guys, come ON)
Are you willing to give me AT MINIMUM weekly updates of progress. Even if that progress is nothing, i NEED to know what you're doing.

for one set, tick the flag "initially dark"

make a multimanager.
name it "lights_multi" (or whatever)
Tick the "multithreaded" flag
Turn smart edit off.

Click "add"

nothing from these screenshots makes me think "ship"

When doing your overviews, (that's how you spell it, by the way) draw the outline of your ship and fit the rooms inside, so you don't have a rediculous layout.

madcow is flawed.

go into source SDK's properties, and find the Launch Options button.

When prompted, type "-engine ep1" and hit ok. Your SDK will now be configured to map for pre-orange box games, providing you own them, of course.

ok, i gave up reading the flames after Penguinboy's numeric list of points.

Why do people keep saying the following 2 things:

1) ITS IMPOZZIBLES 2 GET PAST DAT GUARD!
i just.. you know.. walked to the garage door when his back was turned.

2) NO CROWBHARX CANT GET PAST BREAKABLE GLASS "as I had nothing to break it with."
You know, those concrete blocks littered around the place look kinda heavy..

Seriously.. I understand that you've made valid points since, pengy, but your original "review" is bullshit and i had come to expect more from you.

The airboat sequence for me seems to have lasted longer than anyone else.. I drove over water, slime, through windows, through combine, past snipers.. Lots of laughs before having to finally say goodbye to the faithful machine, which personally i think should have been re-skinned.

Oh, and the section where the guy gets hit by the sniper (kasperg, there are definately at least 5 of those bastards :P and you have to find the wheel, it would have been bloody immense if it had been used as the basketball hoop. I was almost disappointed when i found it. =]

The voice acting was fine. The only character who i thought had kinda poopy voice acting was the leader of the rebel squad.. He was just emtionless. SPOILER i mean his good friend has just betrayed him and left him for dead and he just talks in the same dulset tone.

Anyhoo, while some things, namely talking to that girl at the start could have been more obvious, the people flaming should have tried a little harder before deciding it was shit.. I mean, the breakable glass is a perfect example. Obviously if the crowbar is BEHIND the glass you need something else to break it.

I'm truly dissappointed at the reaction to this mod some of you have taken, and I want Playbus and Kasperg to know that at least some of us liked it :>

the dialogue there is fantastic btw.. All gunna be mentioned in my review, but i had to point it out.
"Oh great.. now i'm gunna have to clear that mess up before the cops arrive" or something. I was grinning. There's a lot of moments like that.

i tried this with Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy which uses the Q3 engine. After much baldness gained from ripping out hair in exasporation, i ruled that it'd be easier to learn GTKRadient.. and it was.. and now i can map with another editor.. Worth learning.

Well i've finished it, and i really hope it wins November's Map/Mod of the Month award, because i really want to video review it =]

SPOILERS BEYOND

The only bug notably worth mentioning was that you could ring the church bell repeatedly, resulting in unlimited reinforcements spawning who got stuck in each other, and there is nothing to stop you just running past the church.

With an ending like that, though.. Surely this unnamed citizen will return.

Truely epic from start to finish, and Argenia(sp?) has the best Geordy accent ever.

Also, you must tell me how you did the combine suit overlay. It's wonderful.

If it's just to see how something was made, you need a decompiler.
Releasing maps created from other people's decompiled maps is stealing.

Hunter's isn't Vista, it's a styled XP. Duh.
It's vista.

And i like Vista a lot. It doesn't deserve the bad press it recieves. The only thing i can't do on it is map using hammer 3.5.
There is a compatability wizard which fixes everything else. Hell, i've even been playing Worms 1 =D
