I believe that you read way too many conspiracy theory books!
btw, I rang those guys at the institute for you, they are on their way to pick you up. They'll be expecting donuts, so make sure you get some in the next few minutes.

i really like the clean look of the maps, and the sharp texturing. it makes me feel kinda calm :) (screens 2 & 3 especially)

oh, but before you do anything else, change that embarrassingly bad spelling mistake - it's "WELCOME", not "WELLCOME"

oh i want it to do as many things as possible! think of stuff that is either hard or impossible to do with displacements (generatable, of course, no natural stuff) and tell me! i really want to be able to generate as many different things as possible. all sensible ideas are welcome.

...pancakes!?

has anyone crashed the program yet?

these questions are very important for me, as the developer. consider it a map that needs to be consistently tested as tweaked before a final version is released.

Major Update!!!

Generation for Domes, Circles, and Cones added. Update check now pings to check whether a connection is available, and it runs on a different thread so you can keep using the program while it checks. It also checks at startup.

Also added this and that, minor bugfixes, etc.

check for updates or http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/penguinboy/Twister/Twister.html !

comments appreciated.

2. needs more detail. i will assume you are talking about opposing force.
3. the weapon is 'sk_plr_pipewrench1' in 'skillopfor.cfg'

hl2 is hl1 with heaps of awesome new features.

and the 'hammer 4 crashes' excuse doesn't work either, ever since 4.1, hammer is much more stable. in fact, it hasn't crashed once for me since the 4.1 update. and yes, it does take a bit of memory, but if you can play hl2, you have enough.
...with 1GB of ram I've had azureus, firefox, VS.NET2005, hammer and Hl2 all running and my pc still runs fine. (cpu is four years old too)

some people seem to be forgetting that you CAN still map shittily using brushes in source if you really want to. nobody's stopping you.

"omg props ruin the game" is the lamest excuse ever. props are just pieces of complex brushwork. it takes less time aligning them then it would to make it from scratch.

so stfu, you hl1'ers.

if you want to say something, say it in a straightforward manner.

the reason the texture alignment is good is because it is a displacement generator, they go hand-in-hand, not separately.

Stop trying to feel superior by using pointlessly overworded sentences that are made to be misunderstood. if you like the texture alignment, say so, like everyone else, and quit beating around the bush.
it is your own fault for whatever you are thinking that i did because i can't understand what you are saying. as i said before:

if you are going/want to give USEFUL advice, tell me what you want/think straight up, instead of saying everything but.

orpheus: constructive criticism is accepted, but not your all-over-the-place posts are not. please make sense or stop posting.

if i cant understand a post, i will not be able to reply appropriately.

sajo: thats the kind of stuff i can understand :P
