Ha just because I map for HL2 now doesn't mean I forgot the HL1 formats.
I opened it in notepad, deleted all ambient and sound related entities.
I deleted empty entities that did nothing and wasted space.
I saved, I renamed it crashes my computer I don't know why, it has to do with something in his map that the computer doesn't like.
My hammer crashed when I had a hud_hint in my vmf but I edited in notepad and it worked (Thanks Seventh).

I tried Asylem for the first time and I must say WOW
Damn it took me 30 minutes to download the map, so much detail
Anyway progress is really going far!
We are currently coding a new 'gun' and our objective at the moment is to prepare for the free play demo being shown in Australia.
I think it's on now actually
After that we're working on putting the maps together and seeing how they play.
Then we finish the rest of the plans and thats it folks....
All that should take 10 months to a year ...

Ok so the plan...I could make rooms on top of the plan that are the same shape e.g. uhh one bit is square so I place some walls around it, add some detail and voila I have a room.
