there's 2 or three HL2 textures, but only 2 visible in the screens..

one is the unbreakable glass at the back of the security room, and the other is the ceiling in the same room.

no, they cant, but they can handle multiple channels.

No idea how/if it's possible with GIMP, but with photoshop, you just create an alpha channel, then save straight to .vtf

Lol, Brattylord, the small images are the old versions!

I know you've been away for a while, so i'll give you some leeway for not knowing that it's all getting re-made.

The graphics are a slight notch above UT1999, and it even has multiplayer servers, and an in-built map editor which can be accessed from the console.

I cant wait for the finished version.

Definately something to play in places which dont let you install games.

a reminder to all HL:HS staff.

HS will only be shipped with one .wad (hostage_situation.wad)

For ease, please prefix all your custom textures with "hs_"

And dont say you've finished your chapter until you've compiled all the custom textures you've used into one .wad, so that i dont have to spend ages placing them all in the main one.

it's probably because of a missing .wad error.

These constantly crash servers, and if they're not listen servers, no obvious error message is produced.

what .wads are you using? Did you -wadinclude them

To everybody who has stuff hosted on my website (namely Kasperg, for whom i seem to be the #1 host =D) please be aware that i am clearing out and re-arranging my /files.

Check the site tonight, or tomorrow for the new location of your files.

(e.g files/maps/kasperg or files/sounds/madcow etc etc)

This is simply because bundling it all into 1 files directory is getting messy.

Also, if you didn't know i was offering to host some maps, now you do.

thanks for your time,
Hunteh
