Do you have ANY XENO_6FLY textures in the map whatsoever? If you do delete them and try recompiling the map, its always more trustworthy to do a manual check rathre than let the program scan itself for you.

On a slightly different theoretical note, I don't think it will be long before we have devices that can amplify our brain power and let us move things or somentrol things with our minds. I saw a game of some kind at a science convention one time where two players sat at each ends of a table wearing a special "brainwave magnifying" hat. There was a ball in the middle and the object of the game was to pull the ball all the way to your side by only focusing with your mind on it. the ball had something in it that responded to signals given by the hat which received signals from the wearers brain, ultimatly moving the ball toward the stronger signal. Some people tried it, it was pretty cool to watch.

The Bloody Mary game isn't real, there is no Bloody Mary. You look into the mirror and see yourself. You think you see Mary because its dark and your mind is distorting your sight making it look like something you are expecting to see.

Time travel into the past is more than likely impossible for a simple story that I think Newton told. If time travel was ever invented, EVER, in any point in time eventually someone would have screwed up and gotten caught by someone from the past. Since this never happened, time travel is/was never succefully created.
On that note i'd also like to think that Jesus is a timetraveller who went back in time from the distant future with a pair of anti-liquid boots (to walk on water) and material-changer ray (to change water into wine). He He he
Jesus, a time traveller? He's the son of God, nobody would just travel back in time have some random anti-liquid boots and use a material changing ray to change water to wine. Its pointless. And if he was a time traveller he wouldn't have let the people slap him up on a cross and get nails driven into his wrists and ankles. he would have travelled back.

I believe the universe is not infinite. Infinite is just something that doesn't make sense when it comes to physical matter. there cannot be an infinite amount of space out there because there would also be an infinite amount of matter, resulting in an infinite amount of energy which cannot happen. I believe the universe is massive, indeed, but it loops itself if you will. Kinda like in puzzle games where you go from one end of a puzzle dungeon and that end takes you back to the start. Once you reach the edge of the universe you are back at the other end. of course... whats outside the universe?

I believe in ghosts to some extent, that's all I have to say on that.

Aliens exist, its impossible for Earth to be the only planet in the whole universe that supports life and everyone knows it. But for them to have the technology to reach us would have to be unbelievably advanced. there's always the possibility that they were in space for several years and finally reached us after a long wait, however that would still be a looooooooong wait.

I'm fine with deep water as long as I can see all ends of the water(like in a lake or something). Its freaky when the water keeps going though because you know that there could be anything out there. Like a giant swimming turkey of death or something, ya know?

Error: Exceeded MAX_PATCHES
Like Kasperg said, stretch some textures out a little especially small, repeating textures. That can work nightmares on the map. Also use null textures wherever possible, on sides facing the inside of the sky and stuff like that.

For the record vis doesn't freeze it just takes forever if the map isn't layed out decently. Enter the dreaded skybox everyone keeps talking about.

The Half Life engine is constantly being updated, and when its not people are constantly finding new effects you can generate with it. Its a much more powerful engine than most people assume so I say it will probably stay around as long as people are playing online games. And everyone knows that won't end any time soon.
I believe CS 1.6 is still being played more than CS:S
Last time I checked it was about a 4 to 1 ratio of players. Quite a superiority on 1.6's behalf if I do say so.
