Its not bad for your computer. By default it runs at 256, CZ and other 3rd party mods run at 512.

If I get a next gen console its going to be a PS3, I've always likes Sony better. Though I'm probably just going to stick to my good old pc.

Some of the half-life architecture and texturing is atrocious,Well you have to remember that when they made the game not only did they have to optimize it for the lowest of computers but the engine was also not as advanced as it has become today. However some of the errors in HL are just bad mapping.

Yesterday I started hosting some of Rimrook's maps on my CS server. At that point I didn't see any reason why I shouldn't host others' maps too. So if anyone wants me to host some of their maps on my server, give me the name of your map and I'll put it in the map cycle.

i don't care how much space it takes up, its not like its going to always be the top window. and if your useing a game through it, its not like steams size is going to get in the way of a full screen app.Its gets extremely annoying having to resize the menu to where I like it every time I bring it up.
Its huge, it takes up too much space even when I switch it to the mini menu and it takes longer to load the games now.
The new layout sucks balls. I've already said the same on the Steam forums, however I didn't exactly say it in those words. They could have at least included a compatable skin that looked like the old Steam you know?
