Anwway.. for mario fans there's a mario kart source mod here: www.mks-mod.com. Check out some of the screenshot, it's coming along great.

Even better, if you pay them $5, you can be in the "Pit Crew" and get access to private media releases AND you get access to the internal beta! There's only like 10 pit crew members, including myself.

This will be for half-life 2 :o

I've been taking programming class since the beginning of the school year, I have a well understanding of C++, it's just that I've never been introduced to the SDK (or game coding for that matter). It's so hard to find a coder, I'm going to have to learn coding for the SDK myself that means. Sigh :. If anyone knows any good documents or tutorials on getting started with HL or HL2 SDK coding, tell me. I doubt there will be much code included in this mod anyway, no one just really seems interested, most likely because we haven't gotten anything started at all. I guess I'll start creating mario textures and create a mario type map to get some publicity. Anyone else who would like to do this as well, would be gladly appreciated.

I only need a modeller and a coder and we're set. It just seems so hard to find an experienced coder (or any coder for that matter) nowadays. There isn't much code at all and I can pretty much do anything else. If anyone still wants to map for this, you can email me xlokix@gmail.com, or just post here.

Free gmail invites if you join the mod team :P, sadly that's all I can give.

I abandoned the renewing of this mod idea basically because I didn't have much help besides mappers. What I really need are coders and modellers, so if I get those, I might just bring this back up.

and don't worry, i'm adding the m4a1, and awp for mario. (I'm kidding!) Ok i'll tell you guys something else, I'm trying to focus on all aspects of mario for multiplay and single play from every mario game(super mario world, super mario, mario 3d, even mario kart ;)) For 2d maps i'll rotate the playerview using the cam_ commands (or find some other way which i'm sure there will be) making it look visually like it's 2d for single player maps and multiplayer maps as well. There will be 3d maps as well. This is all possible stuff and yes it may take a while, but I think it will be worth the wait in the end.

You see that wall at the very back? It kind of looks like you stretched the texture, probably because that mark on the wall is so huge.

Yea, I emailed Docrock about textures but his email isn't working. I assume he's not mapping or anything anymore. You can call me loki, whatever :p. And I have a lot of money to throw around and a .com web address is only about 5 dollars a year, and my friend has webspace already and I only have to pay 2.50 a month so it's no trouble. I just want it to look like we put some time into this. Anyway, I'm going to start working on texturing and stuff, anyone know any good programs for making textures? I know wally is good but anything else? Website should be done soon.

Someone is currently getting the coding done on the website, and i'm paying for webspace now. I'm getting a domain name, how does supermariomod.com sound? Now i have to wait for the coding and crap to get done before i can get any more mod members. So i'll update in a few days

and trapt, moddb is a perfect place to get help on a mod. i also know a few people in my friends mod team for half-life 2 who would like to help in their spare time.
i emailed jax and he seems a bit busy with a mod he's developing but he said he'd be glad to help out.
