Nothing is wrong with my reaction,I saw Trapt answering your posts saying"cock sucker,lame.." and such stuff...And no one seem to care.So in conclusion, why do you?

When I act in a kind way, everyone hates me.So I decided to be harsh as 7th said nothing is wrong with harsh comments or posts.
Don't rationalise it, put it down to a hissy fit. And the main difference in both places is that you have asked for something, therefore you should be fairly passive in replies.

And now for a little hijacking:
I've checked and indeed, there's no such loop, apparantly they are programmed to be disabled when a player spawns in them.
I however, DID get locked in a continual loop a between identical map areas, (player continually seemed to fall into position and load, but its possible/inevitable that I set things up incorrectly). I wish I still had those boxy maps, if only for their glitchey wonder. :)

And from that Borat-esque flame, I'm guessing that you disagree. However I had a looping problem solved by moving them, so It! not guess?

Since you haven't supplied a) a map b) an adequate description of your problem, guessing is all people CAN do.

If you copy that area, make sure you change the positions of the trigger_changelevels somewhat, otherwise you'll end up in the trigger_changelevel in the other level -> infinite loop.
Actually, this is probably the correct explanation, since I had the same bug caused when I was playing with map changes and copied the entity into the exact same place myself.

"Awaiting", im guessing. :P
I want to see the extended news/journal/shoutbox, but, I really do mind the large avatars in the forums
I dont like extended shout box, but i like bigger avatars.
You can't please all of the people all of the time it would seem. Time for a seperate "full size avatars" tick box, if you've got your coding hat on. But then someone will obviously create a thread about how the existance of the option somehow offends them, etc.

Still, with such a continually whiney yet completely contrasting set of lurkers, TWHL could end up a wonderful work of PHP art. :)

(of course you know I'm not satisfied untill the kitten section and "lasers" are implemented)

I do believe that m0p had that avatar ages ago, mr goodmapper. Someone definately did. Anyway, "that guy scared" is Macauli Caulkins, who was famous for being one of Jackos special little friends, in his youth. Its a "home alone" joke, with reference to the film of the same name (possibly before your time). The only thing funny is that you started a thread on an avatar you don't actually understand. ;)

in Are Warez Right? Post #150147
I do both actually: I warez and I buy. I find that if I've discovered a program/band that I really enjoy and like I may fork out money for it. I have this particular opinion concerning music: I buy CD's that I've downloaded first and really liked simply because I like having the CD's (and I can create 320kbps MP3's).
I totally agree concerning music and books, however I wouldnt think twice about stealing applications, etc, since they are pretty intangible anyways (when software cases get fancier I might :) )

I could probably spin some anti capilalist excuse, but the fact is that I don't consider stealing software as a crime unless its somethign I couldnt do without. Therefore they never lost my business in the first place so noone is out of pocket.

Hypocritical bastard.

Rowleybob, if you're such a believer in might is right, why are you sitting on a geeky website and not fighting for your country in Iraq or, failing that, doing a spot of ethnic cleansing around your neighbourhood? And by saying "them and us" you forget the simple fact that America et al fought nazism, so while you might fly your flag while running over black people in your pickup truck just keep in mind that YOU are as much an enemy of the people as your towelheaded counterparts.

Survival of the fittest, period.
Grow up and stop trying to sound stone cold. You're verging on nazism now. And something to contemplate: survival of the fittest would easily weed out internet geeks and especially mappers. On average, mappers wouldnt last 2 seconds in this 'cool' mad max type world you're invisioning. Too many Hollywood films, rowley, less reality.

Exactly Seth. The main problem, however is the entanglement of religion and politics to the point where the vast majority of Americans haven't a notion why they are being targeted in the first place. Also I think this goes for the Middle Eastern nations as well. The underlying problem is a political one which has been totally obscured by jingoism and psuedo-religious crap.

Post-feminist comedy is still deemed witty and on edge though, since from the year dot men have made similiar jokes. It can be considered ironic and therefore argued inoffensive. But yes, its getting old. Concerning the nigger thing, I don't think society is quite ready for that yet, its only fair game when the culture you're bashing is on a level footing and despite what people say, black people are still oppressed. Its freedom of speech when you're voicing an opinion, but saying "I hate niggers" is really just shouting a community down and inspiring hatred.

So yes Tosse, you should have the right to, but I should have the right to then knock the shit out of you for exercising that right.

I don't mean all your rights, just like... Allowing the government to put taps on our phones or something...
If I could trust them, yes. But who watches them? Its not a question of merely not wanting people watching me, its the fact that such a power could easily be abused and most certainly will. I still consider the British as an occupying force, so I sure as hell don't trust them tapping phones over here (draconian surveilance and 'policing' and its abuse is something we've been living with in Northern Ireland for decades, don't forget).

The separation of Church and State is as much to protect religions as it is government from lunatics. Christianity has been dragged kicking and screaming into what should be a purely political thing. Just because Al Qaeda mentions Allah doesn't mean that the Americans and English need to respond with their own God endorsement. While its good for drumming up support in the bovine masses, it pisses on everything holy. Religion is NOT influencing politics, propaganda machines on both sides are flying religious flags in spite of the Church. Its quite blasphemous in my opinion, especially the whole bypass of Jesus' teachings (Bush can fit a vengeful God into his speeches but neglects ALL of Jesus' teachings).

I know this probably doesn't apply to the entire world, and it has nothing to do with what you are saying, but .... Here in America, we have free speach... meaning that someone can say whatever they want about the government and politics without being jailed...
That has everything to do with this thread! :D My very point is that rather than the as per usual injunction against the media, the British government (rumoured to be heavily leaned on by the Whitehouse on this) is directly saying: if you say anything more on the subject you will go to jail. To my mind its the first time the government has ever directly threatened to imprison members of the press and I don't like its implications.

Linky.
I'm not so much shocked at the fact that the idea ever crossed Bush and Blairs minds (Al Jazeera buildings have been bombed during the war, though not officially targeted) but rather the response the allegations.
Newspapers have been threatened with breach of the official secrets act if they publish anything more on the matter, but surely it is not a matter of national security unless they have future plans to do so!
In my opinion its a sad day for freedom of speech when so called democracies threaten to jail the press for publishing something that happened over a year ago...

Perhaps the beginner tutorials should be listed in some deliberate order rather than alphabetically so that even the laziest newbies can just click them in the order that the problems/questions arise. e.g. have "How to switch your computer on" at the top, and the In the beginning series towards the end. Either that or all the introductory concepts placed into a Setup section even before Beginners!

Failing all this, hammer should come with one of those MS paperclip helper things! :P

Hiding your jokes and spacing them out would be my answer. I'm sure having to wait for a "funny" sequence to finish before the game progresses would cause people to replay it again, in my opinion. they have to understand that there is something that made their countries fail (that's why they left) and they are bringing a little bit of that something into the countries they go to
This IS a very well made point, however I avoided it since my arguement is normally shouted down, and it meanders into all kinds of directions:

Whether you like it or not, black countries were part of empires at some stage not so long ago. Because they were taken over, rather than assimilated into western ideas (not to say that western doctrine is superior), when europe pulled out of these countries at last it wasnt a gradual and stable affair, it was more like pulling your clothes on in the middle of the night after proverbially fucking these nations and legging it. If you look at the hutu and tutsi situation, you'll see that the chips on excolonial countries was not of their own making. What a lot of these countries actually are left with are ex guerillas like mugabwe, a country that has a lot of its resources sucked out of it with kickbacks to leaders instead of proper revenue for a country, such as the DeBeirs diamonds etc.

Essentially the state of affairs in these nations is that the west went there, took it over, ran out, yet continue to bleed them dry with theft of resources and extortionate taxes on exports. The countries that you are inferring that have brought their collective chip on their shoulder into our green and pleasant european lands were screwed over and destabilised by us. You really can't have it both ways.

Ridiculously I've never been further than England, so I can't start my statements like Kasberg. He is, however correct. If you're imposing yourself on someone elses land you should at LEAST speak the language fluently. Personally I'm one of the few people that WANT illegal immigrants in britain and northern ireland. yet I feel that you should be detained untill you can at least live day to day live in the native tongue. Failure to do so, in my opinion is as much a contributor as poverty in ghettoising certain communities.

As far as France goes, my cousin was ignored for ages in Paris even though he spoke perfect French, eventually he pulled a man aside and told him that he wasn't English, he was Northern Irish! This seems to work wonders, and people he tells this to welcome him with open arms. Its a shame that he must apologise and correct people all the time though.

Concerning the riots; France's propaganda about being SO Democratic (strangely enough) doesn't quite hold true. If there is serious racism or the prejudices my parents had to put up with right now in France, I say good luck to the protestors.

People think that just because something isn't front page news all the time it isn't severe. In fact, things which are sidelined for a long time such as France's own racial problems, need MORE addressing than front page stories. The media is instrumental in this; notice how since the government decided to get its hands dirty the media reports that the rioting decreases. This obviously isn't so. Its merely a way of stemming the enraged communities violence by telling them that everyone else has stopped.

It will probably work, though.
