Best of Luck with your new site!!
Post here once something gets done. I'd love to find out more.

And I'd love to help, but i'm not an HL? guy, and i only "do" generic level design theory type articles (at least.. i like to think i do.)

I find Hl1 more attractive to map for.

But i haven't really got into HL2. It seems like you're making a film rather than a game. HL2 is also a lot more demanding quality wise.

Come to think of it - you can't contrast HL1 and HL2. Each has and had its time.

There is a way to turn texlights on an off in game - but i don't know what's involved exactly. Try reading the documentation with ZHLT.

But what i'd reeeeealy like to do is Changes & Testing

Changes like env_glows on lights, env_sounds, small entity tweaks ( sound volumes, etc) Nothing major.

Testing because i like testing :P

I'd be glad to give more time to this.

I'd like Hammer to scan my thoughts and build the maps as i imagine them, including all entity work.

But then i'll just get lazy as hell.

What's wrong with the HL CD music? It fits the game, but make sure you tell people that you're using it - some people like their mp3's in the background while playing hl, and not everyone puts in the hl cd to get it to work...

in HLRAD 3.0 crashing? Post #91623
:o

Just got a nasty (bug?) in hlBSP . .. gets stuck Half way on Making the first hull.. then my HDD goes Mad, nasty stuff altogether.

There are no problems with the BSP - i compiled it with XPcagey's HLBSP and it worked fine. ( and i'm sure a 2.4 GHz Pc can handle a 1 MB .map compile without making the swapfile bigger...)

What i don't get is, the two HLBSP.exe's (The new ZHLT3 and xpcagey) seem identical.

Anyone else have anything similar?
