Nope, it don't hang in the Loading screen in HL, it doesn't go to the loading screen at all.
But thanks for the help guys! I can't believe I didn't look at the log more closely!

I did see the tutorials, or else I wouldn't know I had to set the render mode and the FX Amount. What I don't know is why it doesn't work for me.

I've selected a cylinder that I want to make see-through, right-clicked on it, clicked tie to entity, set the Render mode to texture, and finally set the FX amount to 10 (I've also tried 1 and 50).

I've been waiting for half an hour and yet it hasn't jumped into hardwar yet. I copied the .wad files from the other file to the right one, opened them in the options dialog, removed the .wad files that were in the wrong directory (wait, I removed the wrong .wad files first!), closed hammer, re-opened hammer, run my map with expert compile, and still it don't work.

Mate, I've already replaced the old tools with the hl tools without using a batch file... I did say I figured out what they were for didn't I?
Oh and I've never made a batch file before, I made one however like five mins ago. Sorry if I'm being rude, but you gotta give me the exact path...

I'm using WorldCraft 2.1 here, and I'm using expert compile and I've done what the toutorial told me to do. Now I've fixed up some of the parameters so that it can find my map properly, and last time I did that it worked, and it went to the LOADING screen. By then I had to get off, so I did ctrl+alt+delete.

Now this time, it won't go to the LOADING screen. It might be something to do with that ************ERROR*********** Error opening [dierctory name, doesn't matter, ignore] (ignore the part before these brackets) .map: Invaild argument that comes up in the processing window, but it skips past that, and there are no leaks in my map either.

Help me! :(
