Please try to keep your level somewhat linear. Go in, complete the objective, get out.
You can create a separate section within your map that mimics those events however.

The Source engine itself is free. you can charge for your games. You give a percent of the sale price to valve when you sell your game.

Source is free.
If you want to make a game, you need to code everything else from scratch.
You can even convert your map from Goldsource to Source

Whatever output you made to toggle the wall, duplicate it and add a 5s delay.

You can choose to ignore below - this is another possible solution.
You can use the func_brush entity. Give them all a "texture" render mode of 0. Then instead of just toggling the faces you can manually hide or show them.

When you want to show the die faces, send the "alpha" command of 255.
When you want to hide the die faces, send the "alpha" command of 0.

Then after each button press, you randomly show one, but then hide all after 5s delay:

On press > func_wall_toggle_1 > alpha > 0 > Delay: 5s
On press > func_wall_toggle_2 > alpha > 0 > Delay: 5s
On press > func_wall_toggle_3 > alpha > 0 > Delay: 5s
On press > func_wall_toggle_4 > alpha > 0 > Delay: 5s
On press > func_wall_toggle_5 > alpha > 0 > Delay: 5s
On press > func_wall_toggle_6 > alpha > 0 > Delay: 5s

Ctrl-B force-snaps objects to the grid.
however they don't snap to centers, they snap to vertices.
Lower your grid setting and see if that helps at all

The fgd you use in hammer / sledge / jackhammer / whatever world tool you're using. That references the new entities that were coded and packed into the dll.

So you want to make a mod or whatever and put the dlls in the right folder. IDR the proper ones right now, i'm at work... but check your Half-Life folder and see where the dlls are.

in Is there a way to view two diff model sk Post #329673
You're probably gonna need to give the V_model a head bone with the same parent structure as the player model.

Assuming that you're the one actually doing the modelling, might be able to open the V_model and player model at the same time in whatever program you're using and just do a copy-paste, re-parent.

Do you mean to take your existing wall and cut it into tetrahedrons?
You can try, but the geometry might be difficult to work with.

I would recommend keeping geometry as simple as possible and only use the tetrahedrons when other methods fail you.

The 4 vertices dont create a flat plane. You'll probably have to manually triangulate the faces. It sucks, but it's just the limitation of the engine. Also, you can manually check for errors before compiling with Alt-P.
Whipped up a quick example for you because I'm TERRIBLY bored at work right now.

That command line doesn't seem to make sense given your compile log.
Try using The Compilator.
It makes custom compilations REALLY easy.
You might want to upgrade your compile tools as well. The ones you're using are better than the vanilla Valve ones, but The VHLT tools are far superior.
