I think I know...

Change the trigger's target to a multi_manager, and create a MM (short for multi_manager) named whatever you named the trigger's target. Have the MM turn off the laser by turning off SmartEdit and clicking the add button under the value field. Make the key the name of the laser and make the value 0.1. Why 0.1? Using 0 will not be guaranteed to work perfectly, so use 0.1. Then, press add again and repeat the same thing, but when you get to the value field, instead of putting 0.1, put x (the amount of time). What happens is that the MM triggers off the laser when 0.1 seconds has passed, and then it waits for x seconds, and when it passes x seconds, it triggers the laser again, turning it on. However, I think you will NOT have to make the delay for the trigger as long as x because if the MM is busy waiting for x seconds, it will tell the trigger not to go because it's busy, but if you have the multithreaded flag on, then it WILL go when it's busy and mess up the sequence.

Gosh, that's an awful amount of typing. I hope you can understand that or else I just wasted all of my time!

I have an idea: Like Seventh said, it's probably a code bug, so try a work around. I've tried this before, and it works. Instead of an armoury_entity, use a cycler for the MP5's model, a game_player_equip to equip a MP5, and a button that targets the game_player_equip with the Touch Activates flag (don't know if it works, though) and the health set to 0 (or -1, but I like to use 0). Also, you might want to set the Use Only flag for the game_player_equip. I think it's supposed to help stop crashing the game, but I'm not sure. It still works either way, but I just like using the Use Only flag.

Nobody knows the admin PW, and it's not the ISP. All of the other computers work with internet fine. It even says there's a connection on the laptop, but running Internet Explorer (or Firefox or Netscape) won't come up with the page.
And Anthony, I believe that's because the computer probably made a checkpoint while you had a virus, and Windows disallows modifications in the System Restore folder.

I don't have an account. The laptop has my dad's account and my mom's account (and a guest one). Neither of them have passwords. But hey, the password cracker might work...hopefully I can use it to figure out Administrator's password.

Don't run HL from Hammer. I heard it happens when you use Hammer. Try running Steam.exe -applaunch 70 +map map. (or if it's a CS map, then use -applaunch 10 instead of 70)

If that doesn't work, I guess you have to run the map manually.

My dad's Windows XP laptop can't get on the Internet. It was working two days ago...I'm trying to use System Restore, but it won't work. It keeps telling us that we don't have enough security privliges but we ARE an administrator (it even tells us in the user accounts menu in control panel), and I've also tried logging on to Administrator (there's always an Administrator username), but it's passworded and I don't know the password. (gosh, stupid Windows XP :x :x ) I need help!

Your spire (and the platform) is the func_buyzone! A func_buyzone is invisible and go-through-able (whatever it's called) like a trigger, so whenever you are IN the spire, you can buy. The fix: Turn them back into world brushes (toWorld) and make a brush around the zone where you should buy and turn THAT into a func_buyzone.

Water is rendered anywhere you go (if its a func_water). To prevent that, use a !slgeabjgw texture and keep it a world brush (good thing is that anything below the surface is not rendered until you go down there, but bad thing is you can't control transparency) or use a func_illusionary with "skin" set to "-3" which would be "Contents" set to "Volumetric Light". What an odd name :roll: .

That's for when you don't have an overview. Overview mode is when you are spectating and you use the Free Overview Mode/Chase Overview Mode (or something).

I think what Saco meant is that you can use the gauss gun to jump out of the level and land on the skybox (which in that case, noone can find you unless they figure out you jumped out of the map and do the same).

Just because it's outdoors doesn't mean it's always skyboxed. If you go through a brush in de_dust, do you still see the sky? No, you see the void. And how would you use hint brushes and visblockers to manage r_speeds? Wouldn't it render the whole level (at least I think)?

If you need help finding your leaks, go get Leak Marker. It finds your leak and puts a box around it, showing you where the leak is. I think it might fail sometimes...
