.. temperatures like that don't seem to odd for Australia in the summertime. Depends on which part you're talking about, though. Personally, I'd prefer the heat. 40 is a tad much, but anything ~30-35 is fine.

That's what you usually get during winter where I come from, too, CF.

It gets panic-y over -10/15 here in Scotland, though. Schools, roads closing down, power plants barely managing to keep up with the huge demand for energy used in heating. Not to mention the complete chaos in the transport system caused by ~1(?) foot of snowfall? Crazy stuff.

Had -16 this morning. I guess that's fairly cold, especially for these parts. Tough shit with the boiler going out though, that's got to suck. D:

Depends on whether you're using Source or GoldSource. Would be extremely tricky in the latter (I'm thinking the kind of hacking you'd need for bumpmaps, etc.), as for Source - I'm pretty sure it's perfectly possible, without any coding even.

A bit of an overkill with the processor and GPU for her needs, imo. She'd be fine with an older, cheaper dual core model, same for the GPU (geForce 7/6 series?).

The rest looks reasonable.

Apparently, a CS tournament between some of the best Russia's clans was held, during which striptease dancers were hired to distract the players. Needless to say, they did their best. Most of the pictures are lulz, with some of the kids desperately trying to concentrate on the game.

Personally, I quite like most of it. It's fairly original, however if you're going trippy with ceilings, don't forget your floors/walls, which, as of now, are very bland and blocky. Do something funky with those and it should be one hell of an interesting map. :)

It's my fault everything's ridiculously late.

It's been a busy period for me now with a job (second one coming up), uni, etc., leaving little to no time at all for this. The fact that my connection is beyond shit doesn't help playtesting multiplayer maps either.
Right now I'm spending most of my free time working on a new portfolio, as it's fairly crucial if I want to make a living off web design.

I'll have a chat with the reviewers, see if I can find someone to replace me & do something about the crazy situation this is in.

Really sorry about the letdown.

You're talking about this almost as if it were the plague or something. One can recover from the flu fine and dandy as long as that person is hospitalized, given the right treatment and quarantined properly. The key here is to actually go see a doctor if your little cold turns out to have flu-like symptoms, which I believe most thinking people would do in the first place - pandemic or not.

Also, that vaccine sounds more dangerous than the disease.

Strider: Sick brushwork, nice stuff!

Glif: You're getting better at this. The half-cylinder building could use more faces if the area doesn't have wpoly problems. Lighting's ok, but I'd add a few lights here and there with a slightly different colour (red works in industrial areas?) Overall it kind of reminds me of de_vine, only in a night setting. The Collider, the Particle and a Theory About Fate
TONIGHT ON FOX NEWS.. IS THE LHC MOLESTING YOUR CHILDRENS?!
t's like you're forced by somebody to hammer a nail into your head, in the middle. Chances are the nail won't hit the brain, but those chances are small. The other chance, hitting the brain and provoking instant death are translated as RISKS. So yes, we're all force to take part at this experiment, we either survive or we either face the risks.
What on earth makes you think a bad outcome of the experiment is as inevitable as brain damage from a nail hammered into your skull? Also, this being a multi-billion international project and all, do you actually think all those phDs conducting are that helpless, yet willing to push the experiment forward? If the danger of this vaporizing the Solar System were as big as you're depicting, none of it would be funded in the first place. Silly superstitious assumptions are silly.

I don't know the C++ equilevant of the Select Case statement
It's
[blue]switch[/blue]
. Here's the syntax should you need it, Striker.
[blue]switch[/blue] (<variable>) {
   [blue]case[/blue] <value>:
      do stuff
   [blue]break[/blue];

   [blue]case[/blue] <another value>:
      do stuff
   [blue]break[/blue];

   [blue]default[/blue]:
      <works like the else statement in if; if none of the previous conditions are met, it does whatever you specify here>
   [blue]break[/blue];

1/2 Whiskey & 1/2 Perrier, preferably on the rocks.

As for cocktails, the original or Hemmingway's Daiquiri. That's rum, lime juice or 1/3 lime & 2/3 grapefruit juice, and sugar, grenadine or something else to sweeten it (fairly cheap and easy to get)
Can't remember the exact rum dosage, but a ~1/3-1/4 of the glass should provide a nice sweet drink with a kick.

Basically, rum mixed with any kind of citrus-based juice, etc. is awesome. The two were made for each other.

As for beer, anything that's got at least some decent aftertaste in it (i.e unlike the majority of beers UK has to offer)
