At the heart of it, that's all it is. A graphical update. Little creativity. Also they're changing major things like making scientists immune from player attacks and the maps will be remade in the style of de_inferno, as in you won't be able to reconize the areas.

Habboi, I just randomly chose one mod that was on the moddb nominations.

These [Classic Game]: Source mods lack something important. Originality. Usually you can still play the original bug-free vs. the new mod.

There's:

Halo, Mario Kart, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, etc.

I can't believe people think Black Mesa Source is the best mod for HL2. It's just improved level geometry and skin pack. Hidden: SOurce is the only good mod with creativity these days.

We'll find out there is a huge installation shaped like a ring that the Combine have been preparing, possibly to be used to destroy Earth and Xen. You'll be sent by the Gman to stop them and use the weapon againist them. Soon you and them realize the true story behind the installation. Prepared eons ago to be used as a last resort againist the spread of headcrabs by killing all possible host organisms, it has a maximum range of 25,000 light years. 646 Innocent env_spark tells him that after one fires, the others do to, effectively ending the threat of headcrabs by starving them. As both humans and combine realize the enourmity of these rings, they create an uneasy alliance to dismantle the system. The Gman abandons Gordon after the mission is accomplished, and soon after, war resumes between the Combine homeland againist Earth and Xen. In the final battle between the Combine againist the doomed Human And Xen forces, Gordon is about to be killed http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...7&q=end+of+HL3 when he wakes up in Black Mesa. "Gordon? Wake up! Do you know who ate all the donuts?" On your desk is a drool covered legal pad with a montage off all the things you experienced in your dream. Gordon notices the scientist who woke him up looks a lot like the Gman character in his dream. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...mage_31397.jpg When he looks up at him again, his co-worker has dissapeared and no one remembers ever seeing him. Screen fade to black.
Aliens do exist.

Get the references in my fan fiction? If you don't, lol.

100 years of fossil fuel burning has led to climate change far greater than the time spans referenced by those who argue this is a natural fluctuation. Even if it natural, I don't want any "natural" tidal waves to drown our coastal cities.

It's actually distorted a bit just like map projections are inherently distorted. The texture near the outside is streched while the inside is squished. I wonder if you could make a texture specifically for a curve.

The street was barren. The wind howled as fires crackled. Litter was strewn about, paper flying down the street. A blue dot lazily traveled up and down the street without any real guidance to it's movement. It wavered up and down until it snapped onto a oddity. The crack of a rifle sounded, piercing the quiet. The roast chicken like creature went limp and collapsed.
Behind a garbage dumpster, an orange suited man sweated profusely. He knew what was out there to get him. He gripped a grenade, it was his only chance. No he thought, it was too risky. His adventure could end here. He had traveled so far, been forced to kill so many. But it was the only way. He moved out from behind the trash heap and dashed across the warzone. A shot rang out and he felt a sharp pain, he knew he wouldn't make it. It was too far and he had overestimated himself. His staggered forward and collapsed as darkness ate at the corners of his vision.
He woke up. He wondered if he was dead. Touching his weapon and looking around he confirmed the fact that he was still there. The suit has saved him. "Oh my god, it's Freeman!" shouted a random voice. A stiff young man was in an alleyway, seemingly placed there by the heavens. Gordon looked at him and the rebel knew what he had to do. "Good idea doc! Don't forget to reload!" were his last words as he strode up the street. A shot rang out, catching him squarely in the face. He twisted in agony and fell over dead.

Hey rowleybob, you know how I could get a WON style install from my steam files? When I tried to log into the internet, it deleted my cached username and password and I was locked out.

Otherwise, there is one workaround folks. Download Half-Life:Uplink. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,6813-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html And rip all the files from your Steam cache (GCFs) into the demo (You'll jut have to ensure the egotrip when you load up Uplink). Just copy over the entire game - it works.

Caculating again, he leaped. This time it was short and he fell into the endless abyss. Within a few seconds, the air around him soon was devoid of oxygen and he suffocated violently, thrashing. No one could help him.

-QUICKLOAD-

"Blast Pit"

"Damnit!" he screamed as he surveyed his surroundings. It was obvious he was in a far and distant place (and forgot to save). There was a gentle hum coming from below. He looked over the edge of one platform after smashing the guard rail off. The whole area was bathed in green light from the mucus-like sludge below. Oxygen tanks and rusty barrels were strewn about, the oxygen canisters making a soft hiss. He walked over to one. The yellow paint was peeling off and strange molds had settled on its rusty surface. He checked the label - BM1971 S/N 0192887251. This area was much older than he has imagined. He felt light headed, but he shrugged it off as the deadly radiation for which the suit offered protection. Then he realized the world around him was a blur. His boots no longer felt solid ground. He had fallen without realizing it. Red rusty handrails, concrete walls, silo numbers and green light all flashed past him. He only had split seconds before he would fall into the slime. Taking action he reached out with his orange gauntlet covered hands. A sharp jerk told him he was saved. Taking each rung down the red ladder swiftly, he knew he had been lucky. When he look back, he expected to see the ladder that saved him staring back at him. But it was gone.
