I know the Ep2 engine has the 'snowfall' option, which works, but im really unsure that HL2DM does.

Normally due to paged pool memory issues:

Or, there was another problem for ATI users concerning this error, but can not exactly remember the specifics.

Seriously, I think this is a major load of crock, mainly because i'm an Aussie. But how much worse can the gore be compared to the original, or other FPS games?

Id have to say Ocarina of Time as a game (because of its timeless qualities and overall ownage.) and Link as a character. (Because he is so errr... sexy). Wait, Bond is sexy as well, argh!

in Pure Pwnage - Series 2 - Episode 1 Post #220955
An alright episode.

I kinda liked how it gave little insight into the events that unfolded at the end of season 1 and just kept with the original roots and 'gaming' parts. Also liked Dave.

Want to know more about this guy that beat him (and how they are gonna battle on C&C, I can feel it!).

Can't wait to see what they do with season 2.

in Most hated Holiday tradition. Post #205632
I hate the new present system that my family has adopted. We only have to buy one present for one person in total, but we only get one present in total.

I know this would usually save yourself money, but I am the master of getting "cheap-but-looks-expensive" gifts.

Das ist lustig.

Jax - Abbreviated form of Jackson, my real name. Also my nickname in the game of "real life".

Mercury - My CS alias back in the 14 yr old clan days.

SuperJax - Kind of an extension of my nickname for use in most games.

in in-game advertising, is it right? Post #200469
I payed to play the game, not to look at ads.

That coincides with everything else that ive bought, not just games. If ive bought it already I don't want to see other advertisements. Such an example are DVDs.

If it fits with the game context thats alright, but if it stands out in any way or hinders my gaming experience then that's just too far.

in Strange/choppy lighting Post #200351
Hmm.. Fiddle around with all things related to them.

e.g. move the lights a smidget (or the brushes the texlights are on if you are using them), move walls a bit, make brushes solid etc, look for intersecting brushes that may cause texture chops etc.

Lighting is annoying as it can be unpreditcable.

in Wii's first bad move? Post #199893
True, I have found that aswell.

Many new games have all this fancy shit while they can't even make the cut gameplay-wise. Now I am obviously generalising as there are lots of awesome new games (HL2) but I also find my self playing old games constantly as they seem to be more challenging and have the replay value. (Red Alert 1, anyone?)

yeh this anime game sucks

in Wii's first bad move? Post #199888
I think that video game graphics are at their peak for me at the moment. I dont really care about all this new shit that makes these characters look almost real I just want the graphics we have on PS2/Cube and today's PCs (HL2) joined together with awesome gameplay.

The fact that we dont really NEED this new leap in graphics is one of the main reasons im going to get a Wii.

btw that game is disgusting

in Wii's first bad move? Post #199742
Trust this thread to turn into a fanboy battle...

Back on the topic, I think that it shouldnt boil down to the console making a bad move but rather the game developers and whoever would actually buy a game like this.

Edit: Wii ftw.
