Please use the edit button when you have something to add to a post. Thanks.
For the working part of the timer, you can use a multi_manager, and a func_door with the speed set so it takes the timed amount to fully open for the visual. This is for goldsource, if you're using source there's probably a VGUI way to do this.

i'm one hell of a mapmaker, so don't be shy not speaking up about this. We need a texturecreator for our map. I've been working with the map for 5 weeks, and is being tested elite teams for the perfect balance and gameplay.
And yet you have 0 FPS bananna points and no files? Seriously, Noone's going to beleive any of this untill you give us some concrete evidence. Sorry.

Ya, asking for people to help you in a project without any proof that you are on the level is a bad idea. Just so you know.
EDIT: It never hurts using the default textures if you know how to use them well.

Well back in the day goldsource was realistic.
Yeah, it had characters with mouths that moved when they talked, and actual speech instead of text! So much more advanced than the other games I grew up with!

Err, the point of Source is hardly realism. It is, by far, not the best looking engine out there.
Lesse here... Realistic physics? Check. Realistic lighting and water? Check. Characters and textures that look fairly like they're in real life? Check.

I'd say source is meant for realisim, at least HL2 and the episodes are. TF2, not so much...

You can use two func_walls, one non transparent, with the back side nulled, and one transparent. If you want them breakable, you'd need them to trigger a trigger_relay instead of each other, as that causes a crash.

One of those to sell their soul to Steam is PopCap Games.
I'm pretty sure I have to play one of their games, 'Typer shark' every day at school in computers class... :/
Having to relearn typing just because most of the class can't do anything more than text messaging is lame, BTW.

in Model Animation troubles Post #266435
the scripted sequence has to be beside and above the animation, if you're using hammer 3.5, just put barney into the animation and put the scripted seqence into the origin, don't move barney up. the scripted sequence needs sit3 as the action animation, and set no interupptions. If this does'nt work, get the HL SDK and copy him from c1a0, there's an RMF for that map included.

All in favor of another Map-a-Movie compo? Of course, custom content would have to be allowed.

Muzz/TMA: Face it, you make awsome Black Mesa themed maps. :D
Discostu: His graphics card disabled something that makes hammer work (I forget exactly what) and everytime he wants to map, he has to set it lower, then every time he wants to test the map, he has to set it higher, so it's not worth it to him.

A mini compo where you make 1 map only using absolutely nothing except the default provided assets. Pure Vanilla. Objective: Make the most authentic looking/playing map as if Valve made it themselves.
Although I probably would'nt enter, I like this idea, rimrook... more quality maps to play, right? My money's on Muzzleflash in Goldsource.

I think TWHL is dying... All of our admins (Ant, Atom, Seventh-monkey ect.) are gone, half of the regulars are no longer showing up, And those who do show up only show up once every few months. What happened to Rowleybob, Spag, Zeeba-G, Daubster, TheGrimReafer, and Rabidmonkey, just to name a few?
(yes, I know Rabidmonkey is working on Black Mesa, but he could stop by once in a while, he's a moderator.) We may have a lot of new members, but not many of them actually contribute, or even ask a question/post a map. TWHL is losing power I'm afraid... Discuss, And remember, the more members post, the more you've proven me wrong. Please please, OH PLEASE, PROVE ME WRONG!

D8! If you're porting it to source, at least change the anime girl to a bathing suit version one of the HL2 females. I mean, she's nice and all, but I don't think she'd fit into source, so either do that or improve her.
And If you just mean that you'll never map for goldsource again... well...
