Hah. This map is almost done.
I have to admit, mapping for CS does seem a bit quicker rather than HL or TFC.

I don't play on dead servers, but I doubt they are better then the regular.
The server was dead for some time, but that was long ago. Besides, the server is only empty at night.

Counterstrike maps are playable in hl from what I know.
With a crowbar.
Not easily.

Also, there's Team Fortress Classic. I know a server with some really fun maps, and even escape maps.

Working on a sequel to burning office. Using only necessary func_walls, func_illusionaries, and not a single carve has been used in this map so far. I'm planning on not carving, and I'm even using NULL.
Also, I'm working on small details.

I'm working on a TFC escape map, but I'm having a problem with the turret.

I set the turret to autostart, and I set the name to turret1. I also made a func_breakable. When the player breaks it, it will activate turret1, which will turn off the turret. Sadly, it doesnt turn off the turret.

P.S.: I also named a func_breakable turret1, so that it activates them both at the same time.

They know what they're doing from lots of experience, and you should take their advice on board.
Alright, TWHL knows best. I've placed several nulls in unseen areas. Including the duel area.

@Huntey #2: I don't use null textures unless I'm mapping for source. I find them annoying, and you can't tell the difference in-game, therefore it mostly doesn't matter. However, I go a bit overboard with func_wall and func_illusionary. In fact, the entire room that overlooks the map is entirely composed of 1 func_wall, except for the light in it. Thats an illusion, like time.

or maybe I don't have too many entities, or maybe even c1a0 doesnt work in TD, or maybe valve uses too many entities, or maybe you smell like poonuggets.

[EDIT] Also, that's an area the player isnt able to reach, so it doesn't matter wether or not it has fancy architectual detials and such.

I would put in-game screenshots, but the TD code files are a bit corrupted. Yeah, in game, you can't see anything thats an entity.

Not likely, unless you use like... Internet Explorer 5.5 on Windows ME. Seriously, it doesn't happen. Tracking cookies are about the most harmful thing that can be installed through a web browser without your explicit knowledge. Start using a proper browser (anything not made by Microsoft, really) and you'll be fine in that regard.
Hrm, well my grandfather gets tracking cookies on his Norton every five seconds. Hopefully, that will stop now that I forced him to switch to google chrome.

Allow me to post from my moddb page:
It's about time, but we're finally back. Theoretical Disaster will no longer be neglected, like it was for some four months or so. During the time it has been down, I've been thinking about different concepts, trying to stray away from the Black Mesa story, but it just wouldn't work (considering the fact that it uses scientist lab-coat H.E.V. models).

However, the only people currently considered in the team are Oskar Larsson Högfeldt (coder) and me. We are still looking for a replacement chainsaw model, and a few other things, for we are currently using prefabs without permission as placeholders. (In fact, my facebook account got banned for using them in photos.)

Also, we are still looking for a voice actor who can do a good "Old Man" voice. We have made several aged scientist models to make them look older, therefore the voice acting can be done more professionally. If you want to help with the project, you can E-Mail me at ezry1999@hotmail.com.

Plus, we need a modeler, for we are still missing a model for the Lyda creature. Plus, just to get things straight, the player's name is Dr. Wilson. Not Jeffery Greens. Please consider joining us, and possibly re-joining us on this project.

I joined TWHL almost 2 years ago because I was the shitiest mapper for DoD:S and thought maybe mapping for HL2 would help me get started.
Haha.
But now I see that I have learned almost NOTHING from you TWHL. Most of the shit I do today in Source I learned from experience.

Sand box was good, till it started to block my HLVIS.exe and treated it as a suspicious file. And no matter if i clicked run with or run with out sand box my windows stopped responding. Dumb Avast.
I get those on everything I try to open, and Avast likes to restart my computer multiple amounts of times.
