ya what i usually do is delete everything since the last time you successfully compiled. but this is an extremely bad idea since you put all the hard work into it.I remember I did a tank, and had the problem - I had to delete it, but now instead of carving brushes I clip them it works alot better, I only carve when I absolutly have too an... anyways this probly isn't helpin' you- hehehe, I always do that- I talk to much,

I made a turrent in a large walk-in pillbox, when I checked for errors it showed a few parts that said "solid func. contains no solids" I then fixed and deleted the errors, but now it refuses to compile, and automatically shuts down the process window, In the process window it also states this
[error: MAX_LEAF_FACES],

I need help regarding this topic.

Yep Its best to just copy Parts from map 1 to map 2.and then add on. yep anyway this is a waste of time-why do i bother- this forums over...

Use a Light_spot instead and select "Is Sky" (in the properties) And make ure it et to -90(down) then put the light_pot in the middle of the ky(optional) and and very cloe to the top of the ky(near the ceiling).

Why Don't you make a func_track going around in a circle- (repeatedly)
Inside A sky brush- Im not positive if this would work- ive never tryed it before so-- good luck with that.

But I fine that when you do that it still does not solve the problem--
Your game will still refuse to load and compile. I remember I builtr a Hummer (vehicle) but it was to big- I then downsized it slightly and the error messagwe came up... I fixed these but then it would not load- So I guess I kinda need help with this too.

Hello guys-- I was just wondering- you see I have been dooing my elevaters totally different that in the tutorial, I have been using Func_door instead of func_train, with the door moving direction is set to up. So What is the difference other that it being a easy shortcut. Should I continue using it or should I set my sights on The "Elevators using func_train"tutorial??

I download the half life Model Viewer yesturday--- But what is the purpose of it. either I don't know or I need Instructions. Because it is totally pointless, sure I can look at pictures of models but who cares.
Now, if there was a way I could edit these characters- that would be great-- But How?

Nope you don't need one once you trigger the changelevel You go right into the other map, the landmarks are there so that the two levels will be aligned--umm- its hard to ewxplain there are some goodinfo in the "changing levels tutorial"

Yes What you need to do is make sure everything is named correctly if so then check to see if all the landmarks are aligned. if it still doesn't work then I really don't know--but you can try this.

Oh--lol, but yes I do have a clue because I ran into the same problem.
Oh and maybe hes knew and don't know anything about Zoners, We got to assume hes new at this thing and give him the easiest advice we can ok. And if you have a problem with that, then swallow it, ok. I know exactly whats wrong Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, When the window comes up you will notice there are two programs that are running that are the same(don't ask why this happens sometimes-I do not know) Now "End Task" On the one on top-- Usually the first Qrad I think- Its been a while since i ran into the problem.

Or another option is to go and press F9 but instead of doing the expert compile do the normal one and set those options If that still does not work- the Compile the map-but not run, and when it freezes shut the process window down and load your map through the half-life icon--
to do this:

Right click on the half-life icon and add onto the target
"+map [yourmapname]"
Then load half-life through the icon- It will load your map directly without compileing it..

Maybe the lack of weapons is to challenge you, just like in some parts in the half-life collection. - Thats what I think though- And yes They are incredibly large.

Look, what i did was I made my ladder brush but did not tied it to "Function_wall" so I can take out the blue parts, after that I made another thin ladder brush and put it directly in front of the other ladder brush and tied it to yep you guessed it "func_ladder" Func_ladder will be invisible when you play the game if not then change the properties, to texture and Fx to 1. but i don't think that would be the case.

that is a very good question-- I know that my worldcraft will not work unless I turn down my hardware Acceleration, but for Hammer I can leave it at Full. So for that reason It is better- but then again it is totally the same.

well, It is the same as hpb_bot it replaces the liblist with a new file, I've never had so much trouble getting something to work-- Its driving me insane.

Well, could you tell me what is wrong-- My "Hpb_bot.dll" file
does not load, I think ity has something to do with the something linux???
I have no experience in linux( dont even know what it is.) I thought that maybe I have to edit the liblist.gam file-- If you don'ty klnow what i mean then open liblist.gam with notepad--(this file controlss what the game should load example: Hpb_bot.dll---this file replaces tfc.dll in the liblist file, - BUT on the line below it ity does not change-- this is verry hard to explain, so check your liblist.dll file and this will be much clearer to you-- and thanks for the help.

Yes I've got the latest versions, --Yes the Teambot does get installed, but when I go to play and load 2Fort, I bring the console down and well,
It does not do a thing-(after typing loadbot 1 of course) so I don't know whats going on.

Yep I need help with TeamBot because there is no install program or it does not seem like it, I now you should put the TEAMbot in the half-life folder, and I did, but however, when I go into the 2fort map and bring down the console it does nothing, I type in "loadbot 1" but does nothing.

And Hpb_Bot does not load--yes literally, I go into tfc but when it comes time to load the dll file, it closes, shutting down the game. The file is Hpb_bot.dll. I have a funny feeling I have to edit the "liblist.gam"
file, If anyone could help with these two problems it would be much
appreciated.

Can't you surround the area with one brick(brush) of water, and tie it to an Entity--Func_illusion, Thats what I do. I does take up alot of not needed spac3e. But it works for me.

I've got Teambot to but there is no install program so how do you get it working, and Hpb_Bot does not work, Everytime the map 2fort loads the dll files and comes to the hpb_bot.dll, it exits and says there is a page fault, Does anybody know why this is happening and how I could fix it,
And Worldcraft dude, If you know how I could get TeamBot working it would be great, Thanks.

I tried The TeamBot, But i can't get it to work, sure the simulations are cool, but they really are not needed for practice. I can't get mine to work. So I am trying HPB_Bot and Fox_Bot. Thanks for your guys help though.

Sven Coop Is another Half-Life game that includes multiplayer
features, which in this case has monsters in the multiplayer game, this allows you too edit maps for Sven and put monsters in it.

Monster Mod--never heard of it-- I'd like to learn more about it though,

Ok, so where can I find a FoxBot? Oh and yes My fav, is Hunted as well,
my second would have to be 2Fort, because of the map layout, its great
for practicing your sniping skills, But once again Hunted beats it for sniping purposes. Well, anyways best be goin', gotta play, Reply..
