I saw a lot of tutorials about programming on c++, I have a teacher that teach me c# on unity. I always wanted to do something on the source engine, It's a bit difficult but everytime I open the sdk solutions I learn more.

Today I found were the gamerules are located and I found a file called teamplayroundbased_gamerules.cpp and has the control points headers files on the includes part, the problem is that I don't cant make it work when I include it on the hl2mp_game.cpp the game just crashes.

Well it seems that I need to keep looking... I donwloaded the tf2c src files to look how tf setup the control points and the gamemode.

Well, first I created a .fgd file with all the entities and put them on a map... didn't work, it was like they doesn't exist.

The other thing that I saw that in hl2_client.cpp there is something about gamerules, Its that I need to modify to make the control points work? Or I need to create my own gamerules? (And how you create that)

Hello everyone, I was trying to learn how source works, and in the source files I found some .cpp and .h files named team_control_point and etc.

I tried to make them work but I can't figure out how to setup them to work on the hl2dm source code.

Someone knows how to make them work?

i need it because my map has 2 stages, when the player finish the 1ยบ stage he'll return to the hub but something happends that modificates all of the world and the player must return to a weird place to fix everything.

Keep working on the hub map, I'll finish my map without that.

Hi @Penguinboy, I have a problem with the sledge, when I put the spirit.fgd file it gave me a error saying:

Unable to parse FGD. Unexpected At On line 1296, character 1.

In hammer and jackhammer doesn't gave me errors so I don't know what's happening, could yo help me? :V

O I said after, i want to said before, but now, I don't know what is the best option, because in Half life Opossing force Black Mesa explodes by a Atomic Bomb (if i'm not wrong), but maybe some part of black mesa doesn't take any damage, and the scientists of that part tried to create a portal to left Black Mesa, the player is the first volunteer, the machine explodes, and the player starts to travel to a lot of places, he see some vortigaunts that they're not slave, and he start to help them for rescue the planets that Nhilianth had took...

Yeah, the idea of use goldsource and source its great.

Maybe a proyect of Black Mesa to use a portal that let you go to another world (Xen) after the incident, but something go wrong and the player starts to travel to a lot of worlds and dimensions..

I don't know, if nobody like it, i'll think another thing :V

Now I'm in vacations so I can't do nothing...

Hi, I dowloaded the half life sdk from github (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife) then I followed this tutorial to setup the visual studio http://www.sourcemodding.com/tutorials/goldsrc/programming/intro-to-goldsrc-programming-setting-up-visual-studio/

After that, I compiled the hl.dll and the client.dll, but I have this message couldn't load library d:\half life sdk\Half-life\customod\cl_dlls\client.dll

When I compiled i doesn't had any errors, someone know what I do wrong?

Okay, I was uisng the spirt18 with src compatible with vs2008, now I donloaded the no src version, and the game start, and all of the things seems to be all right.

Hi, I was modding a half life mod, but my external disc explode, and I lost all of the .rmf files.
Thank God I had the .bsp files in another folder (Don't ask why.
But when I cuse the bsptwomap.exe and I open the .map in the sledge editor or VHE It's totally bugged.

Can someone help?

Hi again, I update my mod to the Xash3D engine, and I have some problems.
I put in my maps some env_sound to have a better atmosphere, but when i updated it, the sound is too low, if I disable the DSP effects it sound loud... Some on know what's the problem?
