Do you have Jed's half-life model viewer installed?, if so
get mdldec https://www.moddb.com/games/half-life/downloads/mdldecexe-path-for-hlmv-decompile-model
it doesn't matter where you put it, go to tools in the viewer options, go configure tools and set its path
after this click tools again and click decompile model, i hope this helps
if it doesn't i think its something with the model

So, Env_sky needs a null texture
and a null texture obviously can't cast light
still i want to have some sunlight with that 3D sky, how can i make this happen?
any help is appreciated

so I've been recently going through .rmf files of already made maps, and noticed that most of them, if not all of them, have too many hint brushes
I'm a bit confused with where i should put the brushes, what face must the hint texture be on, and do they really matter?
tutorials didn't do much for me

any help is appreciated
