i have the latest drivers and everything... and i have a light_enviornment or whatever its called... but my players are still black and two of my sky brushes show the sky brush in game...

When I run my map all the players are black... and when you shoot near a prop or at a prop they turn black too... for a short time though... anyone know how to fix this?

I did use the prop/skybox or whatever it was that you were supposed to use... I don't know what the problem is though...

I did that... but the 2 of the brushes show up as the brush texture, not the sky...
And do you know how to add a light thats like a sun? You used to use light_spotlight or something like that and make it Is Sky on... now that option isn't in it...

1. I used a set of 5 brushes for my sky texture. My map is rectangular so I just pretty much made a half cub and hollowed it, leaveing 4 sides and a top.
The top and the two longest sides work great, but the two smaller sides show what you see in the editor, the sky box texture...

2. I got the texture by pressing Shift+A but I will try that and see if it works...

And here is a new problem, I can't find the props that look like the METAL barrels.. I found wood but no metal... :(

Also around the border of my map I have a wooden fence.. but its colorful, anyone know how to fix this also?

Hey that worked great for the cars and static objects... but what about barrels, the wooden ones? When the map loads all of them are on their side for some reason :(
Also could you tell me how to make a sky where I have no leaks?

anonymous was me... i figured it out... but when I went to test it, some of the props you couldn't see, but you could tell they were there, but all of them you could not jump on or anything... can ya tell me how to fix it?

I have looked everywhere and I see people doing it, but no one explaining it in complete nOOb terms. What I have been looking for is how you add one texture to one side of a brush, and another texture to the other side. Please help! If there is a tut out there that is understandable then please post a link!

there was a LEAK LEAK LEAK in my map compile log, so I surrounded the whole thing with a sky-textured hollow brush. In the compile log it doesn't say LEAK LEAK LEAK anymore, but the map is still bright as if it did :( Anyone know how to fix it? I really dont wanna start over...
