everytime i download a map and try to play it, it just takes me to the half life 2 game for some reason. What am i to do???

First on which game are you talking about and did you try opening it with the your game's console? If ou only tried through hammer then you need to configure it so it would work for your game!!

You fool! You double-clicked on the .bsp! Place the .bsp in the maps folder for which game you are playing (Explain the problem better) and then open the game and in the console type: map the_map_name
or for cs you should click new game and then find the mao in the map list or else you wont spawn with weapons etc.

Also we appear to be in the wrong section.

I think this section would be the best. Where ekse should he submit it?
