when its done compileing it runs the half life program, and it says system cannot find map.

Fix your paths when compiling, odds are your paths are wrong. Change the line that is for "put compiled maps in this folder"

If you are using WON(like me) then place the .BSP files in
half-life/valve/maps
but if you are using steam I think they should be in here
half-life/valve/steam/steamapp/accountname/maps
