Guess theres somethin wrong wit your swapfile... Dunno what that is tho... Maybe it's some kinda backup file for compiling? Or maybe you're runnin low on virtual memory? :)

yes!thats it!but how can I make it higher : ?

You must have one big, complex map there... Or maybe you don't have the latest compiler tools?
Try batch compiling.. They usually need less memory... :

Well, if you don't know what the terms mean, I'm guessing everything is configured as Windows' defaults; how much space do you have on your C: drive?

I'm using GUI X compiling...yea map is kinda big and detailed

1-is there a way that I can make my virtual RAM higher...?
2-Whats batch compiling?

Swap file uses your HDD's space for increasing RAM. Make it use more of your HDD's space.

so should I make more space in my hard disc?
Posted 18 years ago2005-08-03 05:05:12 UTC Post #125581
It's "disk", and yes. I already asked how much space you had free.

Virtual Mem > XP

Right click My Computer > Properties
  • Advanced Tab > Performance > Settings > Advanced Tab > Virtual Memory > Change
Use a Batch Compiller. I'd use Nem's (Google it) if I were you. It allows you to close Hammer while you're compilling, which uses a lot of resources.

I've have 2GB space in my C: drive :( and it still doesnt compiles

that's so little space. BUY A NEWW HDD!! :P
Posted 18 years ago2005-08-03 06:58:50 UTC Post #125614
really?is it small for compiling? :
Posted 18 years ago2005-08-03 07:13:09 UTC Post #125615
no not for compiling. It's just small in general. I have like 25 or 30 GB free for my system. I understand that you have an old comper or you have a lot of shit in this HDD. It's just that the system will run better if there's more space in the system drive.

Elon yariv, what error? Is it the same error as this guy is talking about?

Yeah, a batch compiler would definately help. And make sure you leave the computer alone when compiling, also works against errors.

Ohhh...I played when I compiled so this maybe the problem! :nervous:
