Yesterday i made a mini map and made a barney.
I Looked at sentences.txt and copied down BA_DESK And BA_HELLO5.
I Only want it to play BA_Desk when you walk in and not play it again , And HELLO_5 When you use/un-use him.
All it says is NO SUCH SENTENCE GROUP - BA_HELLO5.
(Ps the Walk in part - i need help on that.)

Also i kicked in a scientist cos barney was crap.
I Made an AISCRIPTED and tryed making the scientist do 'console'
I Put an aaatrigger texture with Trigger once.
When i played the map the scientist Did console only once , and at the east.
How do i fix those errors?

Okay, with the sentences put a ! in front of all the sentence names, like this: !HELLO_5 Also, if you want barney to say the thing when he sees you, go to the triggercondition box and select the see player (or whatever you want for it) then go to triggertargets and put in the name of you scripted sentence.

For the scientist put a scripted_sequence (not aiscripted_sequence) and in the idle animation put the console thing, and to make him do it at the direction you want use the little compass (or for a more accurate position use the yaw roll pitch (or whatever its called) ok? :)

Or the Repeat rate ms.

did you try using the '!' and did you [ut the right sentence name in?

I'll try it. But i wanted it like at the start of HL , When he sees you he says 'Heya gordon , i hada bunch a messages for ya but we had a system crash about 20 minitues ago and i'm still trying to find the files.'
After that he doesnt say it again. i want the same thing to happen.

To make the scientist do that animation till you turn off the script use scripted_seaquance and in it's idle animation value write the name of the animation! ;) Not every animation can be idle only the ones that looks like the monster is doing one thing but it's repeating the same animation! :glad:

Have you tried the 'repeatable' and 'repeat rate ms'?
I don't know if they will work, but they seem kinda logical.

The 'repeatable' flag means you can trigger it more then once! :lol: Chack this map. I used an aiscript and cause I didn't want it to be triggered more then once I didn't tick the repeatable flag. :) Try ticking it and see what heppens. ;)

The 'repeat rate ms' isnt too effective. Its never worked for me

Nope.... I've done that.
BUT You know at hl1 's start , after the tram stopped , emmidiately Barney came and unlocked the door without anything triggering it , how did that happen.Also i haven't sorted the repeatable flag part , i made buttons and all it meant was it won't do it once , you can do it many times , not it Repeats.... :cyclops:

actually, it was triggered, at the part you stopped there was a level transition. My guess is that a trigger_auto activated a multimanager that started up barneys sequence, and probably controlled from what he did to what he said (although there are other easier methods then timing)

use the repeatable flag so that you can trigger it over and over again when you want to (if thats what your saying)

The script targeted the door! :lol: I did the same thing in here. ;) And if you mean that when the train stoped he walked to the door and opened it then that was done with the path_track's 'fire on pass' value! ;)
