my part has alot of files and such, mostly models, so I'm not sure about the beta testing of my part.. where can I host it.

(btw, it's not close to beta testing, maybe another 1 or 2 weeks)

thanks for the review... the grenades can be thrown far enough to take out the turrets.. easily... plus, rocket launcher there would make it far too easy.

yes,it looks like there is no AR grunt and there is so many grunts that you cant even see your way through bullets :

Also thinking about making there forearm (visible skin) a black material so that no skin is showing,

because it would make them look way more 'illegal' if there identity was kept a secret if you know what I mean.

nice, although totally covering there forearms might not look great, it will make them look like there wearing sweatshirts or something. if anything, I would say go for outer forearm pad/armor things.

but the way you have them now is cirtainly good enough

Keep in mind that I don't have the t model and can't edit colours, so, will the color blue be ok?

So heres my solution, since all badguys wear masks, I thought of doing something like HL2, where all the combines where the same, I know a modeller that would be able to decompile this model, (or perhaps even Pepper) and put the one head (gasmask face) on all 4 options.. if you want, I can even tint the blue goggle eyepiece black instead of the blue.

so yea, for those who don't know what I mean, heres a quick edited picture:

each human grunt has 4 different sub-models in it saco, so, that won't work. lol. :D

And Daubster, does'nt work either, the face mask has to be sloppsided in a wierd way.. hard to explain.. I can leave the faces as is though..

but heres a thought, do you guys want black paint crossing their faces? it would look wicked if so.. kinda like navy seals.. well??

Right now, I'm doing something big with these guys, I'm taking skinning to the extra mile!! you guys better be happy with the finished guys!!

nice, the blue looks good.

although I think Black looked more Urban/Industrial Camo, maybe you could use the accuall Urban Camo Pattern that is used, preferably not the old bloch kind(aka the kind that you see in HL's grunts and your blue grunts), but the new digitaly made 'dot' patch camo that they have.

In other news:
My map is really begining to scare me, it feels like it is some kind of ultra powerful monster or something, it just creps me out. and the whole reason for this is the numbers
1310 Solids
8138 Faces (luckly about 5/6 of them are NULL faces)
247 Point Ents (many more to come)
293 Solids Ents (same)

and yet the compile times are still under 1/2 an hour. and I havn't dared to look at the r_speeds yet for fear that software users would have a heartattack at the number.

I really just hope I won't have to go back and do some major hinting, becasue I suck at using Hints.

luckly, no matter what I have to do to get it below 1500 Wpolies (I can't be that far above that). my part will turn out great. a 2.8 minute rush through battle, explosions, grunts, aliens, missle storage rooms, and into a missle silo. by which time the average person should have about 15 seconds left to disarm the bomb

Yea.. A long difuse time makes the player really, really thrilled.
I remember the first time I tried to difuse the bomb in cs..

yeah, do what i did with the hs5 beta. host it, and send the link to the team's various e-mails.. erm.. could you include a readme tho... :nervous: i aint too good with models

we're also gonna have to compile a credits list soon.. so Gargly knows all the things to add to the credit sequence

I'm not taking those,cause those models are not yours.Those are Ambient Impact's models and if this MOD uses them without permission and crediting that Unbreakable made the model,he is gonna get really pissed off!I dont wanna get into trouble sorry,I'm not taking those :o
And HD models occurs to have some script problems.So go re-sking hl1 models not the HD models or you ll get into trouble too or else I will report you cause Ambient Impact is my friend!cant betray him with using his re-skinned model without permission

Ok. First off, i'm no blind bastard! I've read that they didn't want to ask permission. Although I think that they will eventually. :|
If they don't want to - they should do so. Copyrighted models shouldn't be used without permission from their makers.
And I don't see, why you couldn't ask for permission, Hunter... It's rather a normal thing to do... :confused:
