Hello, sorry for leaving you all again I am taking mapping up again for a bit as I am getting the source engine in a few weeks, so I am brushing (get the pun? :lol:) up on my skills of mapping so I can map for Source.

I am using a non-internet version of HL, and have everything setup. hammer compiles all my maps correctly but when HL tries to load my map, it says it has performed an illegal operation etc etc.

I don't see why it is doing this but maybe one of you could help me please?

does this happen with all maps or just yours, and does it only happen for one map?

(it helps us see if its something wrong with the game, your config or your map.)

sorry i wont be able to post any screenies, i am hammering on my pc with no internet yet.

it only happens on the maps i create on hammer, i can play the full game ok and i can also create a game through the multiplayer menu and run a map that way.

does this make it any clearer?
