Darker.. yep, made the texlights brighter by 2000.

HL:HS, nope I never forgot.. I have just become tired of the ling compile times. and my maps are so unorganised(wad files, etc.) theres also some minor bugs in it. I'll get it to you asap though.

I love the shading on the models.
The QUICW is a great weapon too..
Good luck with this.

Btw, could we get some info bout the story and it this mod will be MP (It looks MP to me), could I help with mapping? :)

Ok guys, I got the name of my mod. After much thought I was going to choose 'Constant Anger' But after discussing it with friends and what not. We decided to through the whole idea away. We finally came up with a more acceptional name.

The mods name will be 121 Communications

killaz646 hacked together that spetsnaz barney, as well as The zxeno prophet, who hacked together that medic barney replacement, novarain who did the fn2000 conversion, and probably countless others

also, that render looks pretty awful.

This mod is set to pwn! Very impressive model and texture work so far, mapping may need work to be just as impressive from what i could see in the backgrounds. Still nice work.

I would add more detail in the floor. Anything like stain decals, parking lines etc. Right now it looks like a giant one-texture brush while the rest of the hangar is nicely detailed .

How long till this is complete? I think this is a great idea that your making one big mod instead of tiny good maps.

You seem to underastimate Hl1. I'm surprised after your entery with the over detailed cliffs. Hl1 can can easly handle a few decals and parking lines.

haha, yes Elon. But the HL Decals are'nt all that great. Plus some are colored weird (orange, or bright yellow) So, I don't really know how to add detail to the floor in that manner.

This will hopefully be completed in a couple months. (6-8 mnths)

Jay: The light is'nt actually placed over the fire, however theres a fan. in which I'll probably do something with.

Right now, I'm mostly trying to focus on the plot/script. :

Wow.. Lookin great..
I love the silenced 9mm and the spas.. The knife model looks a bit weird, the left hand looks a bit squarish..
The architecture & texturing is pwnage.. :)

They have changed. I have enemy, and friendly grunts. but they where both black ops. So I changed the enemys to prevent confusion or friendly fire. lol.

I need help with this photo.
Can somebody turn it into a sprite for me. My sprite wizard is giving me a problem with the 256 colors thing. I just don't get it. The photo only contains 5 colors.

I use to have the old Jed's HLMV and it allowed me to make textures addictive, or chrome. Until I got there newly released viewer, and now, all I can do ins the chrome effect, so, I don't know how to make parts of the models transparent. And it really sucks. I have a bunch of models with certain parts transparent, but can't use them because of it.

The grunts lens however, I edited the texture, and made it chrome, which still looks good, but still. :

Looks awsome, is there gonna be a demo out soon?

I like the fire, and the fog. How are you getting fog to work because i'm troubled with it. Then again i'm using Spirit 1.5a3.

Also, it seens like almost every screen seems dark, and it's been said. I hope this gets fixed, otherwise add in some night vision.

Yes, I realize this, right now I'm working on a CIA building which isn't dark, and there will be other locations, such as Iraq.

Also, I have met a very good modeller, named Kruk, whom is helping with the alien enemy grunts. Take a look:

hehe, it's very grunty.

I am running OpenGL btw. But no fog for me, only when underwater. If it takes out the sky then i guess i don't want it.

Looks good, might need some smoothing to let the mouth/lips stand out. Though it looks a tab bit high poly.
