I suppose everyone has seen those nicely made trees in counter strike condition zero..... well game-rippers should know that those models have a transparent leaves texture. Well, how, and let me ask, HOW THE FUCK CAN I GET those trees to be rendered as in THAT game and not all black, or blue or......ah. Please answer I messed around with it for DAYS!!!!! Thanks to this site for any help you can give to me.

First, there's no need for swearing.

Second, get Steam (and yes, Steam contains the .dll's that are responsible for the transparant model rendering).

Yes sw.dll and hw.dll is what you need. Place them into your Half-Life folder (the root) and overwrite the existing dll's or make a backup. You als need Half-Life version 1.1.1.0. in order to see transparant models.

Don't do it. I tried it and I couldn't run Hl1.1.1.0. It said it couldn't read the sw.dll and hw.dll. I couldn't have done anything wrong for all I need to do is to replace the original ones with steam's ones.

Oops. Wrong link in my post. This'll work.

Elon: Model transparancy works fine for me. Go check out the new screenshot of the mod. See the transparant trees? That is done with the dll's provided in the zip. And im running Half-Life 1.1.1.0. in OpenGL mode.

I didn't have any problems with them when I put them in my HL folders when I still didn't use Steam, but backing up the original ones (do they actually overwrite any?) is never a bad idea.

If you don't overwrite some files, you're not achieving anything.

I serve the transparency DLLs on their own for you.

Might be an auto-detecting system for unknown, porbably alien and hostile, .dll's in place?

Of course you're right... :)

It can't be the graphics card for it works in steam. I can tell you one thing, my graphics card is enough for running Hl1 and so is the proccesor, ram and all these stuff.

I seem to have problems with a much older game then Hl1. UFO Defences-Enemy unknown(1994) sometimes crashes and sometimes not starts at all. If It doesn't start then it shows a "patch timed out" error.

I figured that 128mb of ram isn't enough to run that game but enough to run Hl1 at a good efficency. :)

Er, your ZIP required downloading more than just the DLLs ;).
