I know this is probably a really stupid question, but I was wondering if it's possible to program drivable vehicles into the origanal(non SourceEngine) version of HL1, like have it so that you can model trucks, that have seating for 3 or 4, all but driver being able to shoot, or single person tanks, and or planes or something to make the game more interesting? please share if anyone knows how to do so.

I hear that with enough coding, one can do anything. But if this is attempted, please try to make them resemble those func_pushable-like CS 1.6 cars as little as possible.

It is, I think. CS had drivable vehicles, but they were pretty junky. As for how to do it, I wouldn't know, I'm not coder. Neither is the majority of this site unfortunately.

Check into Spirit of half-life mod. It's posable in that. But is very difficult, you need good understanding of:

motion_manager
Calc_ratio
Calc_position
Calc_subvelocity
and many more. :)

Ok, well scratch that, I have some friends that might help me program it. But I have another question, how do you make a .fgd, because my Hammer3.4 won't load my models and or weapons unless there in a .fgd.

you can download the required .fgds. Although they should all be included with Hammer 3.4 If not just google "hl.fgd download"

yeah sorry, that was a stupid question, I downloaded them then found them, actually I have another question, does anyone know of a program to make movies that save as a windows media player? aka something to edit the logo.

yep actually take a look at "Windows Movie Maker" All newer window versions have it. Very straight forward too.

Ah damn, I thought he asked is there a video editing program better than Windows Maker that can be saved as a file that Windows maker recognises later on...

Or the other way around? Can Windows Maker export to a file that other editors recognise? Cause I'm a bit annoyed how my videos suck cause Windows Maker is limited and crap in a small way.

could one of you please explain how to get it to export to wma? or more importantly how do you save to a avi?

wma is audio.
wou'd want wmv.
anyway, to save to avi using windows movie maker:
go file -> save movie file
select computer
type name and where to save to
click 'show more choices' and select the 'other settings' radio button
pick DV-AVI (or any other mode where the settings box shows audio-video interleaved (AVI))
click next
done.
