WHEN WILL YOU REALISE THAT YOU WILL NEVER ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GOOD LEADER? For fucks sake, The Hunter is about as competent as a dick on rollerskates. I'd say give up and stop fucking wasting your and everyone else's time.

Why don't you try to get some organisation happening? Because you're a bunch of fucking retards with no balls? Probably, but that factor should be irrelevant.

The fact that it's taken this long to make such sub-standard shite staggers me, and the fact that you're still TRYING to make this mod a success is even more funny. The longer you continue on with this crapass project, the more of a disappointment it'll be when you fail to release, or release a piece of turdass mod full of bugs and mapping which could be likened to large camel testicles.

Give up, honestly. Stop giving out false release dates and just give up. That's my advice.

I could make a better mod in my sleep. Fags.

well, its mostly just that alot of the team hasn't worked on HS in quite a while.

my part has been very very close to being done for almost a year now.

let me just give you guys a quick checklist that I need to do to finish the last chapter

-1st mapchange (A to B)
-add enemies to map D
-add enemies in the last series of rooms
-ending sequence

and i'd be done

I haven't really looked much into this thread, but I do know this project is atleast 1 year in progress and that their were been several release dates already.

Personaly, I agree with Trapt.
His way of explaining is just rude.

In my eyes, you guys do lack leadership (and activity atm).
Obvious you guys have putten a lot of effort into this but this mod seems to take ages to complete because you all got side-projects along this mod. I would work things up and finish or just quit the project.

The main reason it's taken so long, is people keep on quitting.
So i really resent you saying "or just quit the project" since that's the root of the problem.

Muzz, putting off finishing the mod (not doing the custom weapons) so that it is released fast is not an option. People will want to see the effort that has gone into this mod, and custom weapons are a must.
They're already modelled, so you figure out how to code them or i'll eat you. Also, you have barely mentioned how your map is doing in 3 months.

Unbreakable, do chapter 2. You didnt need the end of chapter one and the start of chapter 3 before, so just use your imagination. they're all getting put together when they're finished.
Yours must be set at night. It must include finding barney, and travelling to the complex with him.

Chickenfist, i know you're working hard and almost finished, but PLEASE show some media.

Daubster, i know you're working your little butt off on this, so keep up the good work.

meee. I'm pretty much finished chapter 5. I mean.. it is complete.. it's just little bug fixes and details now.

Gargly, your stories of a leet finishing sequence and early screenshots are really promising. keep it up.

I am surprised to see that it seems to be Unbreakable and Muzz who are slacking off, considering they're both extremely talented mappers.

I noticed that.

I have to say though, those rocks look like utter, shitty, crap. They're nothing but blocks with a rock texture on them. Improve them or FAIL! :)

Uh... I don't know what you're talking about with the impression on the ground, I was just talking about the blockiness of the cliff faces. Glad to hear those screens aren't of the final build, and you're improving them.

I'm getting kind of anxious for updates, guys. Unlike most people here, I'm actually pretty excited about the mod, but you'll go a month or more without releasing any screens, or even talking about the mod. I'm really starting to lose hope, especially when it's so close to Christmas, and Hunter said he'd call it quits if he wasn't finished by then... :

Hmmm... I'm starting to think it might be better if it just went unreleased, since I've probably got my expectations way too high anyway. It would probably just be a complete letdown to everyone. If, however, somebody on the team (or what's left of it) thinks otherwise, then I'd really encourage the eventual release.

Well, there is absolutely no communication between the team members as far as i know, and never has been. So yeah, this was kained to fail. To be fair, i havent even seen any complete working content except some weapon beta's i have on my own rig.

Chapter 1 (one map by me) is also almost done... But there has been some trouble with chapter 2... Who was doing chapter 2 again? If that person can finish chapter 2, send it to me, so i can "glue" chapter 1 to chapter 2 with a trigger_changelevel. The same goes for chapter 3, 4, 5, etc. When i've received all the chapters, ill connect them with trigger_changelevels, do a full recompile on all maps and prepare it for release. The Hunter will receive the first build and he will eventually make the mod available to the public.

So the question is: Cancel HL:HS development or continue HL:HS development?

Yeah... I know, that's why I'm saying I'd be willing to do it. But I somehow doubt the "team" would just suddenly hand the source files over to random people. I guess we aren't that random, but still.

In other words, I think it's a great idea, but I don't see it happening. And if the maps are already complete, all that needs to be done is for them to be connected. One person could easily do that.

And as I recall it - you've said, that your map was crap, and that I should keep the whole chap.
