sorry i asked this earlier, but i never got an answer that really worked, i wanted a script to rebuy in cs 1.5, but i never got 1. i was told F2 did it, it idnt, am i missing something?

Well, maybe because 1.5 is FREE, or maybe he wants to support WON2, or maybe because 1.5 is almost the same as 1.6.

Not much to explain... it's free, as long as you didn't buy Half-Life alone on Steam. If you had the WON version, all you have to do is register it with Steam and it gives you Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Blue Shift, Opposing Force, Team Fortress Classic, Ricochet, and Deathmatch Classic for free.

The Steam retail version of Half-Life (Half-Life 1 Anthology) doesn't give you Counter-Strike, since it has its own package (Counter-Strike Anthology), but I registered my WON Game of the Year Edition, and got Counter-Strike free.

No, I got all those other games I mentioned too. Unfortunately, they aren't selling the WON versions anymore, so you'll need to find a used one somewhere.

I'd be suspect of that one. Not only does it only come with a CD (does that mean no CD key?) it's used, so it's likely that somebody has registered it. Just don't do anything crazy, like pay more for the WON version than you would have to to buy all those games on Steam.

valve has no way of telling what game you are registering when you enter in a WON HL key, so they give you everything. my GOTY edition came with 4 games and 3 cd keys, i only needed one CD key and i got everything.

You do realise that he would be using his CD-Key(s) for his Steam games, hence they will be unusable? Any ones he isn't using would be handy to keep around, should he need them for anything else.
