Hey guys, my first time in this site and the tutorials are great and helped me a lot.

I've been working on one map for the past two days without closing hammer, and I had to reset my computer so I saved the map (as .map file, because I use batch compiler) and when I tried to open it after reopening Hammer 3.5 (and 3.4) it gave me an error that 1701670241 solids were not loaded due to a map error and crashed my computer while loading it.

It locks up my computer everytime I try to load the map..

But it's impossible that the map has so many errors, the map is flawless, no leaks no nothing and it compiled just fine before I closed Hammer.

I even opened the .map file with Nem's map viewer and it loaded up just fine..

This isn't the first time it happened. I scrapped a map two days ago because of that same error, with the exact same 1701670241 number of errors.

Help?

Thanks,

Banana.

dont use .map. hammer was designed to use rmfs and thats what it should use. export to .map to compile, but otherwise use rmfs like a regular person.

Thanks for the future advice, I'll be sure to do that, but there's no way to save this map?

No .map to .rmf convertor or anything like that? Nothing can be done? :(

no converter, if you can host the .map somewhere and i'll take a look. no promises tho, i've only just started to look at .map script mechanics.

...but if you open up the unmodified .map file from the zip file in notepad you'll get your answer :P
