Try to convert it to .map using hlfix, then load the map in hammer. Hope you don't have many Visgroups, since they disappear, when it's a .map.

its a command line app. load up cmd.exe (start->run). cd to the dir where you have hlfix, and then read the params.

Usage

hlfix <mapname>[.rmf] [options]

Options:
-o <outfile> Output file (default is <mapname>.map or <mapname>.rmf)
-w <wadfile> WAD list file (default is wad.txt)
-r Output to RMF file instead of MAP file
-nt Don't tesselate non-planar faces
-nd Don't decompose non-convex solids
-nu Don't unite coplanar faces
-na Don't perform ANY geometry correction
-v Process and output visible objects only
-e <number> Epsilon factor for numeric comparisons (default is 1.0)

Copypasted. now make a bat file of it. open notepad, type
hlfix yourmap.rmf -o newmap.map

its important hlfix, the bat, and the rmf are in the same folder.

when saving the notepad file, save it as "hlfix.bat".

He means you type in your address bar like for the program VMEX which is command promt:

c:/program files/valve/steam/steamapps/habboi vmex d1_trainstation.bsp

And it'll do it. What you keep doing is opening a sort of MS/DOS program which flickers on and off right? It means you have to use COMMAND PROMTS.

Find C:GamesHalf-LifeSteamAppsdraconspirit
half-lifeSvenCoopmapsmy_first.rmx and change it's extension to .rmf

The .rmx/.mapx backup files are made just in case this happens.

http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=46 , you idiot. Why the hell would I tell you to open your map in some random chess program? USE YOUR DAMN BRAIN, I know its in there somewhere.

google search 101: if search "X" doesn't produce viable results, stick a related word on the end.

in this case, 'crafty' returns a bunch of chess programs. but, 'crafty half-life' returns the above link AS THE FIRST RESULT.

again, use your brain! and stop ignoring what people say when they're trying to help you, because eventually they just wont bother.
