Ok, I got rather bored with the suburbian concept in Suburb: 47, it wasn't very fun during the creaton. But Whitey lives on, I got some inspiration from some of my favorite movies and I cam up with a new concept. It's more of a spinoff from Suburb: 47.

I haven't decided if I should make this for real, but I made some concept art and a two page long comic test. So tell me what you think about this:

You seem pretty good with (Photoshop?) effects. I liked it although I think the english on this part could be better:

"And that is by blowing the brains out on some of them zombies." Although the character may talk like that I think it seems a bit too realistic and puts me off. I actually got taken away from the comic because it didn't sound right. I think maybe this would have been better:

"And that is by blowing the brains out of some zombies." or something similar.

Keep it up ^^

Yeah, you may be right about that... Thanks Habboi!
Alltough I don't think I'll change it untill I decide if I should continue this.

And Testu0!

...And yes, it's Photoshop :)

The art is brilliant. Good work.

Story is simple, which I like.

By the way I like the dark bits under your eyes. Kinda looks gothic and suits the comics art style.

Yeah, He's a worn out hitman who's currently on drugs, alcohol and all kinds of shit, so that's pretty much the reason for the dark eyes! :P

But that last image looks kinda like something from 'Clockwork Orange'. So I might go down that road... What do you think?

The posted images are, as I said, only concept art and a test of the comic. So feel free to make suggestions and tell me about the up's and down's about the comic style.

It's original. I like how this feels like it's a really old stained comic printed on actual paper. Not that fancy glossy stuff.

I do feel, however, that if you're going to actually do this. Each individual comic should have more content. Not just episodic one-liners with lead-in cliffhangers.

BUT

I like.
Very much so.

Another suggestion would be not to use that puny little pistol. If Whitey's a hitman - equip him with Berettas, light SMGs, etc, not butterknifes and slingshots. :P

Yeah, I've already thought about that. You see, if I decide to make this, I'd write a script and have a clear and simple storyline to follow. So it would have a beginning and an end... So it would take a hell of a long time to make it, I was thinking about 50 - 100 pages. And just release previews, concept art and stuff like that untill the whole thing is done.

And when it's done I was thinking about printing a few copies, just for fun. You see, I have a part-time job and I still live with my family untill I get a real job so that I can support myself, so right now I have all this money that I just don't know what to do with, so I thought this could be a fun idea, you know.

Story lines are OK, just make it so each comic can stand on it's own.

No one likes comics where you have to see the beginning to know WTF is going on.

Tosse save your money. I lived that life once and i wish i still did. Seriously. Be as frugal as you can with your cash.
But it's good you're thinking about a script. :)
im excited now

airsoft pistols are relatively cheap for spring-action, i mean you're only using it for prop anyways...
Posted 17 years ago2007-11-16 01:52:42 UTC Post #238603
yeah. 12 USD for a decent one.
Some of them look like DEAGLES

And try flea markets.
They usually have cheap Chinese Airsoft ones.
you know.. the ones that come with assembly instructions printed in chinese on rice paper...

Yeah, that's a good idea! I might buy one of them BB Desert Eagle guns... Or just a cheap toy-gun that looks like a Desert Eagle .45. Then he would have some connection to the comic name!

Anyone got any other suggestions for a big-ass gun to arm Whitey with?
So that he can strike fear into the little black, dead Zombiehearts! :P

And also, they dude that was going to be the "brutal fag" in Suburb: 47 loved BB.45, he wants in on it. So I'll introduce a new character soon, a raging punk-rocker with a epileptic triggerfinger!

As for a weapon, CROWBARRRRRRRRR, arrr... Honour your Black Mesian heritage! Or a machete or something, melee weapons are cool.

Which still doesn't make sense as to why he is here on TWHL. But... it doesn't bother me... so. =P

Big-ass gun? m249 S.A.W. (Squad Automatic Weapon, and my initials...)

Im at TWHL because I love to map! :P I don't have to love HL to map for it! :o

Ok, so here's my list of things I need to get:

1. A green-screen. Right now Im using a big red background, but the editing process would be easier with a greenscreen.

2. Toy guns, gun replicas and stuff like that. Please do suggest what guns you think I should look for, Im not a gun freak, so if we have any gunfreaks around, please provide links to kickass guns.

3. Modelcars, small scale model of musclecars.

Then I'd have pretty much everything I need to make the comic look better and it would be easier to create.
