Sorry if this topic has already been done / is a noob question but I didn't find anything in the searches I did.

Every time i try and run my map on BS it crashes right when the console says "clearing memory" on the loading screen. the windows error window thing comes up and I have to shut it down.

Is this a problem with my map or the game? or something else

You cannot map for Blue Shift. Gearbox edited the Engine, and the code for the map is different. They never released the compile tools for the new format, so you're out of luck.

oh. hahah that sucks because the steam installer doesn't work on my computer (I have brought this up directly with the steam help people) and i can't find my stupid HL1 cd from years back. is there anyway to get the original CD without steam then

Thought that the cd's were not sold anymore, checked amazon and found out I am an idiot.
