I've done this mesh, I want it to be something like this:But when I create the first seats hole, the mesh becomes something like this (I deleted 2 edges, from the back to the hole).But I want it to be something like this, I want the right face to be an square.

First subdivide the large surface, then extrude one of the two resulting faces to create the seats. That'll leave you with both seats and a rectangular surface.

I get an error when trying to subdivide the large face :S

I've got another question, sorry about the triple post, i don't want to edit because nobody would see it.

I've done a cutted down trunk and now I want to texture it. So i want to texture the trunk with a tree texture and another texture for the sliced part. But XSI only allows to put a texture per mesh, so is there a way to separate the top face from the trunk?

is it 3ds max? use the Cut tool to draw edges and dice geometry.

If you select the individual faces that you want to have textures instead of the entire object, you can assign different textures to different surfaces of the same model.

I need a little TIP.

I'm doing a tree and the trunk is divided on the middle. So I want to divide the trunk in 2, but I don't realize how. Here's the picture so you can see what I'm talking about.

you don't have to use 2 textures for it, you can use uv mapping, go look for a tut on uv mapping.
