Is it possible to make your own grid size? Say you wanna do a map of your own house... walls are 5" thick.,.. is there a way to do a grid of 5?

I dont think there is... but you could just make 1-unitgrid and make 5-sqare wide walls.

Grid size in VHE is always a power of 2. 5 units thick walls can be made with the 1-grid size, as ZombieLoffe already said.
