Some of you might have already heard about this just a while ago, but either way, it's shocking assuming it's true. Several mainstream news outlets including Fox News, CNN, The Associated Press and a bunch of local broadcast TV networks across the U.S. are reporting that "a body" of the legendary Bigfoot has been found by professional trackers.

Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, Georgia residents who lead Bigfoot-tracking expeditions, say they found the body of what appears to be a Bigfoot in the woods of northern Georgia and will join local Bigfoot researcher Tom Biscardi at the news conference this Friday (8/14/2008), according to Robert Barrows, who is publicizing the event.

My personal comment: Just like previous stories concerning so called "proof" of Bigfoot, until this pans out as a truly legit, proven story in the media with actual physical proof of Bigfoot, I will sit in the sidelines for now on this.

I always thought it was real in the first place, or at least something.

There was too many reports for it not to be real.

I'm pretty skeptical about this. But then again, giant squid turned out to be real, so its always good to keep the idea alive.

The idea that a couple of nutters who dedicate their lives to finding Big Foot (the type of people who are constantly laughed at) turn out to just stumble upon his body is ridiculous.

DNA evidence and photo evidence hardly mean squat in this day and age. You can't catch Sasquatch that easy!

In July, Rick Dyer made claims that he had discovered the deceased body of a possible Sasquatch in the woods of Georgia. A press conference to release alleged photographs and DNA evidence is scheduled for August 15, 2008 at 12 pm PDT. Evidence has been posted on the internet, showing the recent photo from this claim appears to be a hoax: Objective comparison between a theatrical "Sasquatch" costume, and the photo of the "corpse", reveals facial characteristics which appear substantially identical to each other.

The picture and story and everything are all pretty convincing but from things ive heard from others throughtout my life I don't believe bigfoot looks like that"though I won't personally believe in it until I see it myself". My mom grew up in the country and when she was a kid she saw something looking in through her window at her one night when she woke up to go to the bathroom and she pretty vividly remembered what it looked like. And they had fences all around the house so it couldnt have been there horses or anything like that. Other than that ive been going camping all around the area all my life and have found and heard some things that make me wonder. My bro and I go exploring into the woods at night without turning on our spotlight pretty often and hope to find something but usually puss out not so far out into the woods and start shining. We sneak up on a lot of deer and other animals but no bigfoot yet...
