Having never used foobar, i can't judge it, but I do know that Winamp is superb compared to the others i've tried (WMP, Itunes, MPClassic)

If you use Linux/OS X, or are too lazy to download video and audio codecs, then yes, VLC is better, if not, MPC is much better than VLC.

he's talking about MPClassic, daubeh, not WMP.
It's a fairly solid program, but VLC is just so much more practical.
