The Yahoo games site just posted an interesting video report on the current games console market. According to Yahoo, The Wii's demand is still on fire, expect once again shortages this Holiday season. But as for the Xbox 360 and the PS3, there has been a very interesting turn of events between these two consoles. interesting how the least powerful is the most popular, I always thought average idiots preferred "awsum grafix" to gameplay. Anyway I am a proud owned of a Wii.

Got me an Xbox 360 and its fine with me. In my eyes the PC will always be the #1 gaming platform.

The Wii might not be the most powerfull system, but it can still be made to play and display games with graphics on a next-gen level. Take for example the upcoming Wii game called "The Conduit". This is a sci-fi FPS game slated to come out 1st. quarter of next year. The word on this game is, it will push the Wii's graphical limits to the max, so it should be interesting to see this first hand when it does come out.

It looks like Metroid Prime graphics. How hard would it be to reproduce that?

TBH... I have PS2 games with better graphics by a long shot.

As for me, 360 will always be my system of choice, even though they cut the price $50 and added 40gb of extra storage. D=

True. But remember, we are also talking about the "Wii-mote" here, very different than your average game console controller.

There is nothing wrong with 360. FPS's may be better on PC, but not all games are. This is the point of a designed game specific console and it's controller...

Hm whats all this about? nothing is shit. what matters is if your having fun. Sure if your not having fun you can call it shit, but it doesnt meen that every one else has the same opinion.
I spread my spare time between xbox360 and pc evenly. it doesnt matter how good the games graphic is aslong as your having fun, for example, i just purchased golden axe(arcade) and doom1 for xbxo360 just for fun... wii, i dont know about wii. i think 3 consoles are enough for now (i have pc ps2 and xbox360)

I never did say there was anything wrong with the Xbox 360, or any other current generation console for that matter. In fact, I do like the Xbox 360, it's one of the very few products from Microsoft that you can say it's good. As for The Conduit's graphics quality, that simply comes down to a matter of one's own personal opinion, besides the game is still in production, therefore not done yet, it would be unfair to compare it to any other finished game.

I don't think graphics can be based on personal opinion... cause if we go by that I may as well say I think Super Mario Brothers had superior graphics to The Conduit.

The only way this will be settled would be when the actual game is released to the general public. Seeing early web or printed pictures is one thing, playing the finished game first hand on a Wii is another. Only time will tell (and the gaming community).

Metroid Prime Corruption and Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition both shine with the Wiimote, they're a helluva lot of fun. Gets a little gimmicky after a while though, Wii desperately needs something more hardcore with more depth.

I got a 360 and I'm happy with it. I see no reason to buy another console in the near future, Wii doesn't interest me at all save from using it to play old Nes/Snes/N64 games, and the PS3 can go and suck eggs.

And no, I'm not a fanboy. I have quite a few different consoles lying around at home, and all have their own qualities. It's just that this generation has much less Console-Exclusive games so there's really no need to buy more than one console.

I don't currently own either of the consoles at the moment, simply because neither one of them has appealed to me.

The Xbox 360 is probably the best one out there, because of it's big number of games, which probably is due to Microsoft's bank account. The console itself ain't too special tho.

It's like the new Playstation 2, a good console with ALL the games.

The Playstation 3 would be my console of choice because it's probably the most powerfull one on the market, it's got the best controllers (in my opinion) and it's a Playstation, that's generally enough to make it best.

It's just too bad that it's not good for playing games, mainly because there are no games, and you have to be a rich fuck to get one.

So the conclusion is, if the game makers start to shit out good games for the ps3, I'll get one, and if not, I'll get a 360 - if I ever buy a console that is.

Umm... one of the first games ever released for the Wii was an FPS. It's called Red Steel. And I don't know how much Wii has improved since then, but it sucked major ballocks.

My god, if that's the Wii's maximum graphical limit, Nintendo should be embarrassed. That honestly looks like a mid-range to high level Half-Life mod with high res textures or really subpar Source material. It's comprised entirely of blocks.

Bottom line:

PC is > than console will ever be.
